April’s Dispatch magazine is now available. Read through it and give thanks for all that God is doing through the work of MA.

For the month of May, why not spend 30 seconds each day reading each update and praying through the points of this prayer monthly.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

We invite you to join us on Saturday 21st June for our June Celebration and Teams Commissioning Service at Newtownbreda Baptist Church, Belfast at 7PM.

We would love for you to join us beforehand to have a meal together. This will be served at 5:30PM, with the evening session beginning at 7PM. If you would like to book a place for dinner, please email news@missionafrica.org.uk or call 02890402850

For June, MA Monthly Zoom meeting will be on Thursday 12th June at 7PM. This will be the last meeting before the summer break.

Recently, we have switched across to a new database system and therefore we would ask for your patience and understand-ing as we navigate this transition. Your giving will still be processed and receipts still sent out, it might just take us a longer to do this.

Gaiya Family - Give thanks for a successful ACTS Board meeting at the end of May. Praise God for each Board Member and their contribution to the ministry of ACTS. Pray for the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2025-2030.

Gracie has now completed Grade 9, her frst year in Hillcrest’s High School. Give thanks for this achievement. Pray as she will attend the a church Senior Camp; 7th - 11th July in Portadown. Pray for spiritual encouragement and growth.

Please pray for the ACTS Writers Workshop which starts tomorrow (4-6 June). The theme is Fresh Approaches to Theological Writing: Bridging Gaps & Expanding Digital Reach. Pray this Workshop will be benefcial to many.

Ekanem Family - Thank God for the opportunity for Gail and Angel to attend a family wedding in Ireland and for time to spend with Gail’s elderly parents. Pray for their return to Nigeria on 10th June.

Pray for the outreach in Godwin’s home village which takes place on 12th June. Pray for the right decision to be made in the appointment of a new village chief.

Pray for the United Evangelical Church Minister’s Retreat taking place in Lagos between 17th and 20th June. Pray for safety in travel and spiritual refreshment for all those taking part.

Ibia Family - Pray for the Ibia family as they begin to hand over the work of FCS in Enugu in mid June to a lady named Comfort. Pray for her also as she learns and takes over this role.

Godfrey leaves for Jos on the 16th. Pray for him as he travels and for Samantha and the kids at home; that packing and preparing for their move to Jos will not be as stressful as anticipated.

Pray for the students who Samantha will still be continuing to visit throughout this month. Pray that what is taught will have an impact on their lives, especially those going through the leadership programme.

Mark Nixon - Join Mark in praying for the new term of the PACT summer school in Abuja where he will be teaching for four weeks.

Pray for a Gospel Campaign that Mark will be preaching at in the city of Lokoja which is the State Capital of Kogi State.

Pray as Mark expects to be teaching God’s Word at a conference in Ankpa at the end of June. Pray for wisdom as he plans and prepares for each preaching and teaching engagement.

Morrison Family - Pray for the participants of TEAM Chad’s new shortterm program, “TEAM Trek” beginning for 4 weeks on 11th June. All of them are exploring a call to longterm missions in Chad.

IVORY COAST

Ana van Brakel - Ana asks for you to continue praying for the arrival of her visa; pray especially for the person who is tasked with following up the paperwork.

Pray for Fiona (Chadian) and Laura (Australian) as they oversee the running of the Acacia in Laura’s absence. Pray particularly for shrewdness in managing ministry resources.

David will share at a number of churches and events this month. Pray for God to raise more workers for the harvest and burden people to consider their part in advancing the Kingdom.

Ana also asks prayer for the coming holidays when the majority of students will be away, and so the campus will be very quiet. Pray that she will be kept busy with various activities and not only lesson preparations.

KENYA

Reuben Beattie - Reuben travelled to Kenya at the end of May for 3 months. He asks that you pray that he would totally depend on the Lord as he seeks to glorify him in the work that he’ll be doing!

Sarah Pope - Sarah arrived in Kenya at the end of May. Give thanks that she is beginning to feel more settled in her ministry. Pray for her as she continues to develop relationships and friendships within her accomodation.

Give thanks with Ana that she has remained in good health so far this year. Also give thanks for the contacts that are beginning to develop with various students.

Ellen Gilmour - Ellen will be working in the A&E Department in Chigoria Hospital, remember her as she serves in this busy area. Pray for both Ellen and Ruth as they will be travelling back to Kikuyu soon.

Pray for a team of students from Lurgan College as well as two medical electives who will be travelling to Kenya at the end of this month. Remember Catherine as she begins to process their visa applications.

Ruth Carson - Remember Ruth as she spends time in the Paediatric Unit at Chigoria Hospital in Kenya this month. Pray for the mental health of the staff at the hospital after the recent loss of one of their collegues.

SCOTLAND

Robbie Toop - Robbie & Margaret have recently returned from the Isle of Lewis where they were representing Mission Africa. Praise God for a safe trip and give thanks for the time they spent connecting with old and new supporters.

Pray for the many positive responses from the week and that as a result, would begin to see people committing to serve God through Mission Africa whether long term or short term.

GENERAL

Pray for the board of Mission Africa, that as they look to the future of the mission, God would be in the center of all their plans. Pray for wisdom in all the decisions that they need to make.

Pray for the following: 2nd: Coffee, Cake & Prayer for Janet Martin, 1:30-3:30pm, Hamilton Baptist Church. 4th: Global Connections Scotland meeting at Tilsley College, GLO, Motherwell.

Pray for Robbie as he begins to make plans and prepare for the Keswick Convention in England where he will be present at week 1; 12-19 July.

Pray for Janet Martin as she makes preparations to travel to Nigeria on 23rd July. Her visa will be applied for this month. Pray that the process will be smooth and the visa will be granted without any issues.

Over July and August, Mission Africa will be at various events and conferences; both in Northern Ireland and England. Pray that God would be stirring the hearts of people who are willing to start their story in serving Him.

‘Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.’ Ephesians 6:18
