Local Speaker Series Diagnosis and Management of Medicine Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) In the At-Risk Patient Leslie Halpern, DDS, Md, PhD 9:00–10:00 am Room 254 Audience: D Medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a rare condition that can occur after exposure to agents used to prevent bone complications, such as bisphosphonates or denosumab, or treatment with other agents, such as angiogenesis inhibitors. MRONJ can be treated and prevented through prophylactic dental care and maintenance of good oral hygiene. This presentation will provide guidance to dental practitioners in screening, treatment, diagnosis and management of patients with this condition.
