When it comes to car maintenance, there are those who prefer the convenience of leaving it to the professionals and those who relish the hands-on experience of turning wrenches themselves. The RAF Mildenhall Auto Hobby Shop caters to both preferences.
Situated in Building 240, adjacent to the 100th Air Refueling Wing Headquarters Building, our shop is not just your typical vehicle repair facility. It's a one-stop destination, combining a vehicle repair shop, a retail parts store, and a DIY mechanics playground.
For the DIY enthusiasts, we provide four dedicated work bays stocked with all the essential tools needed for a wide range of
car care tasks. Whether you're a seasoned mechanic or a novice, our facility is designed to empower you to work on your own vehicle confidently. In addition to the DIY area, our shop extends services to include diagnostics, oil changes, tire-fitting, brakes, alignments,
and so much more. Regardless of whether you drive a domestic or imported vehicle, our attentive technicians take the time to listen to your concerns and provide honest recommendations.
We offer services to US military, US DoD civilians, US contractors, and their dependents. Call us today to set up your appointment or check out our website at 100fss.com/auto-hobby-complex for a list of services and prices.

We had the incredible honor of welcoming Lorraine Orr, Executive VP & Chief Operations Officer of BGCA and her team to RAF Mildenhall, alongside with our own DAFS, Mona Hamilton and Joanna Rios, for a visit that left a lasting impact on everyone involved.
The day began with a powerful STATIC display, showcasing how RAF Mildenhall supports the mission. From there, we toured the Youth Center and Teen Center, where we witnessed firsthand the passion, energy, and leadership of our youth. A standout moment was seeing our Teen Program’s partnership
with Newmarket Academy, a true testament to the power of collaboration in shaping bright futures beyond our installation with off base schools within The UK.
We then joined a Torch Club meeting, where young leaders demonstrated their commitment to service, followed by recognizing our Junior Military Youth of the Year—a moment filled with pride and inspiration. The highlight of the night was the first-ever Military Youth of the Year Celebration, where leadership from all four installations—RAF Mildenhall, Alconbury, Lakenheath, and Croughton came together to celebrate the voices of our MYoY winners. Hearing their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs was a powerful
Youths
reminder of why we do what we do. These young leaders are shaping the future, and their resilience is nothing short of inspiring.
We ended the night with heartfelt words from Lorraine Orr and our leadership, reinforcing the deep impact of BGCA programs and the unwavering support behind our youth and affiliated programs.
This visit was more than just a tour—it was a celebration of dedication, collaboration, and the bright future ahead. To everyone who played a part in making this possible, thank you all. You are changing lives
