odycore Rangiora opened in July, fronted by local Co-Owner Shane Murray, as an addition to Bodycore Training and Supplements in Sydenham, run by business partner Murray Coates. It offers fitness and training gear through to protein bars, energy drinks and cutting-edge nutritional supplements. Shane, a Top of the South Bodybuilding Champ, absorbs the latest in health and sports performance information. “The right diet is 70 percent of your training success,” he says. “Food supplementation, good protein and timing are key to good muscle tone.” Shane offers advice and customised nutrition plans to use in conjunction with sports training, bodybuilding and slimming goals. Bodycore’s own-brand products, developed in its Christchurch factory, include natural protein powders, such as whey and hemp, through
