Restore

We are now about half way through 2025 and Mercy House Global’s theme Restore, inspired by the timeless promises of Psalm 23. This year invites us to pause, reflect, and rest in the presence of the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. The artwork above—created by the girls of Rehema House—illustrates Psalm 23 through Sanaa art, with new pieces added each month to mark our journey. As we focus on restoration, we're reminded that God's healing doesn't just return what was lost; it renews, strengthens, and brings life in full abundance.

The Right Path Isn't Always the Easy One

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. —Psalm 23:3

Sometimes the “right path” doesn’t feel like the right one at all. It can be narrow, uphill, lonely, or slow. We expect that if we’re doing the right things, the road should feel smooth. But Psalm 23 reminds us that God doesn’t promise ease. He promises His presence.

“Paths of righteousness” aren’t about perfection or striving. They’re about alignment, living in step with the One who made us. These paths shape our character, even when they test our comfort. They might lead us through valleys, but they never lead us alone.

And here’s the grace: God doesn’t just point us toward the path. He leads us on it. Step by step. Not for applause or performance, but “for His name’s sake” because His very nature is good, trustworthy, and true.

If today feels uncertain, take heart. You don’t have to map the whole journey. Just follow the Shepherd. Righteousness, in the end, isn’t about getting it all right. It’s about walking in the right direction.

This month’s box has a lantern and tealights that will serve as a reminder that we are not alone on this path of life.

Noah's Ark

In Moradabad, an Indian city with a population of almost 1.2 million, more than half of the people are involved in the handicrafts trade. Unfortunately, the industry has long been plagued with injustice. Artisans are paid low wages, forced to pay commissions to exporters, and must self-finance the raw materials needed to complete orders.

As the cost of goods has become prohibitively high and the international market has evolved, artisans must invest in diversifying beyond Moradabad’s traditional crafts— though many fall victim to debt or shop closure. Trades that are passed down from one generation to another make up an important part of India’s culture. Yet the heritage and tradition of handicrafts is increasingly threatened as insufficient profits force marginalized artisans to seek other professions.

After many years of witnessing the artisans’ struggles, Samuel Masih established Noah’s Ark International Exports in 1986 to raise the artisans out of poverty and preserve their livelihoods. Noah’s Ark has supported artisans and their families with fair wages, long-term business investment and collaboration, and health and education initiatives for more than thirty years.

Mehndi

Mehndi has been working for the Noah’s Ark metal workshop for almost two decades. He has worked on many products that have been featured in MHG Clubs. He helps support his parents and younger siblings, as well as his wife and daughters. In his free time, Mehndi enjoys taking his daughters into town and watching cricket.

Citronella Tealights | Set of 12

MADE BY LOCAL HOPE IN THE USA

Keep bugs at bay and elevate your outdoor gatherings with this set of twelve hand-poured Citronella Tealights, crafted by the artisans of Local Hope. Bright and herbal, each tealight opens with a burst of lemon peel, giving way to a crisp lemongrass heart. Infused with natural essential oils—including citronella, eucalyptus, and geranium—this fresh, camphorous scent is both refreshing and functional. Ideal for picnics, patios, and summer evenings under the stars, these tealights offer a clean burn and effective outdoor performance. With each tealight, you support vulnerable women building new futures through meaningful work.

Bloom HandEmbroidered Pennant

MADE BY STREET HOPE IN KENYA

Each delicate stitch of the Bloom HandEmbroidered Pennant reflects the resilience of the women who created it—survivors building new futures through dignified work. Street Hope provides a safe space for women to heal, learn, and support themselves through skilled embroidery and craftsmanship.

Tucked inside the pennant’s pocket, you’ll find three artisan cards, each featuring one of the women who helped create these pennants. These cards serve as a personal connection to the artisans, allowing you to put a face and name to their craft. We encourage you to pray for these women whenever you see their cards, lifting them up on their journey toward healing and restoration.

Vincent says that life is better since he has started beekeeping.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ETHICAL?

Ethically traded products are crafted by artisans who work in safe conditions, receive a fair wage, and maintain reasonable working hours. No child sacrificed their education to create your new favorite item, and no parent toiled in a sweatshop for 80 hours a week. We ensure that all of our MHG Clubs items are ethically sourced.

HOW ARE MHG CLUBS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SUBSCRIPTION CLUBS?

MHG Clubs are operated by Mercy House Global, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All proceeds from MHG Clubs empower vulnerable families in Jesus’ name with opportunities that provide hope.

MHG CLUBS PARTNER WITH FAITH-BASED ARTISAN GROUPS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

While we are a faith-based ministry and collaborate with other faith-based ministries, religion is not imposed on artisans, nor is it a prerequisite for employment. Many women and their families practice different religions than we do, and that is okay. Our belief in Christ compels us to love, serve, and assist others, irrespective of their personal belief systems.
