Restore

We are now a third of the way through 2025 and Mercy House Global’s theme Restore, inspired by the timeless promises of Psalm 23. This year invites us to pause, reflect, and rest in the presence of the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. The artwork above—created by the girls of Rehema House—illustrates Psalm 23 through Sanaa art, with new pieces added each month to mark our journey. As we focus on restoration, we're reminded that God's healing doesn't just return what was lost—it renews, strengthens, and brings life in full abundance.

Refresh

“The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.” Psalm 19:7

There’s nothing like a cold glass of water when we are thirsty. Our bodies were made to be refreshed. We cannot live without hydration. Just like our bodies crave being refreshed, so do our souls.

Psalm 23 is a beautiful reminder of God’s care and provision, where the shepherd leads His sheep beside still waters, bringing them rest and renewal. Another word for “restore” is the word "refresh," and both are often used in verse 3. Life often leaves us weary, burdened, and spiritually dry. Yet, God promises to restore our strength, not just in body but in soul.

When we feel drained by the demands of life, God offers a peaceful restoration. He gives us an image of a shepherd guiding sheep to refreshing waters. The still waters in Psalm 23 represent a place of peace, healing, and renewal where we can rest and be renewed in His presence. God tends to our deepest spiritual needs, refreshing us in ways that go beyond the surface.

In moments of exhaustion or uncertainty, God invites us to surrender our burdens and find rest in Him. The refreshment He offers isn’t temporary; it is eternal, restoring our souls to a place of peace and vitality.

This month’s box is a tangible reminder to drink water for your body and take rest for your soul.

Noah's Ark

In Moradabad, an Indian city with a population of almost 1.2 million, more than half of the people are involved in the handicrafts trade. Unfortunately, the industry has long been plagued with injustice. Artisans are paid low wages, forced to pay commissions to exporters, and must self-finance the raw materials needed to complete orders.

As the cost of goods has become prohibitively high and the international market has evolved, artisans must invest in diversifying beyond Moradabad’s traditional crafts—though many fall victim to debt or shop closure. Trades that are passed down from one generation to another make up an important part of India’s culture. Yet the heritage and tradition of handicrafts is increasingly threatened as insufficient profits force marginalized artisans to seek other professions.

After many years of witnessing the artisans’ struggles, Samuel Masih established Noah’s Ark International Exports in 1986 to raise the artisans out of poverty and preserve their livelihoods. Noah’s Ark has supported artisans and their families with fair wages, long-term business investment and collaboration, and health and education initiatives for more than thirty years.

Ziyada

At Ziyada, the name itself holds profound meaning—translated from Hindi and Urdu, it means "more" or "abundance." This concept is not just a name but the foundation of everything the organization stands for.

Ziyada exists to provide more than employment; they offer dignity, stability, and hope to women in the community. Through meaningful work, holistic support, and a nurturing environment, artisans experience abundance extending beyond wages—abundance of opportunity, empowerment, and a future filled with possibility.

The belief at Ziyada is that when women flourish, families thrive and generations are transformed. Every purchase contributes to this mission, becoming part of a greater story of restoration and impact.

Malo

At 12, Malo was married—just like generations of women before her. She never had a choice.

That changed when she joined Ziyada. With steady work and a supportive community, Malo began to dream of a different future for her daughter, Anjali.

At 17, when family pressured Anjali to marry, Malo said no. Today, Anjali is earning her bachelor’s degree. Because of your support, Malo broke the cycle. This is where child marriage ends—and hope begins.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ETHICAL?

Ethically traded products are crafted by artisans who work in safe conditions, receive a fair wage, and maintain reasonable working hours. No child sacrificed their education to create your new favorite item, and no parent toiled in a sweatshop for 80 hours a week. We ensure that all of our MHG Clubs items are ethically sourced.

HOW ARE MHG CLUBS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SUBSCRIPTION CLUBS?

MHG Clubs are operated by Mercy House Global, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All proceeds from MHG Clubs empower vulnerable families in Jesus’ name with opportunities that provide hope.

MHG CLUBS PARTNER WITH FAITH-BASED ARTISAN GROUPS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

While we are a faith-based ministry and collaborate with other faith-based ministries, religion is not imposed on artisans, nor is it a prerequisite for employment. Many women and their families practice different religions than we do, and that is okay. Our belief in Christ compels us to love, serve, and assist others, irrespective of their personal belief systems.
