In June, 2025, thousands of entrepreneurs, corporate partners, and supplier diversity professionals gathered in New Orleans for the Women's Business Enterprise National Conference M. Davis was proud to be one of over 600 exhibitors that filled the expo floor. In addition to the expo were many educational sessions and meet and greets that engaged and helped connect women entrepreneurs with corporate buyers
A focus of this year’s conference was the impact small and diverse businesses have on the U S economy M Davis has distinguished itself in recent years through measurable growth: a 15% increase in workforce, 30% revenue growth, and a $5 6million investment in modernizing facilities At the conference, we were given the opportunity to share our economic impact story and display our manufacturing capabilities at WBENC’s Manufacturing Center of Excellence booth
One of the education sessions that was available at the conference was the Manufacturing Industry: Opportunities from Insights panel that was held on June 24 . M. Davis CEO Peggy Del Fabbro was asked to join other th industry leaders on the panel The session focused on the alignment between the WBENC Manufacturing Center of Excellence and the SBA’s Made in America Manufacturing Initiative. Peggy spoke passionately about the challenges faced by small to medium-sized businesses and how the WBENC Manufacturing Center for Excellence can support WBEs with these challenges
The discussion brought together insights on workforce development, scaling your business to meet industry demands, and responding to disruptions like supply chain bottlenecks and tariffs Peggy shared M. Davis’s experiences with these challenges over the years and the solutions that have provided sustainable growth for the company over the last 155 years
As M. Davis & Sons looks toward future WBENC events in particular, regional partner events and next year's national conference they're more committed than ever to their mission: delivering industrial craftsmanship with innovation and unwavering quality.

At M Davis & Sons, we believe that people are the heartbeat of our company and few embodied the spirit of our team like John S Bonk John was a dedicated leader who held the roles of crane operator, estimator, project manager, vice president and finally president which he held for 20 years John was a true warrior in every sense of the word, and an inspiration to all who worked with him. Though we lost John far too soon, his legacy of resilience, commitment, and determination lives on through the John S. Bonk Warrior Award. This honor celebrates employees who demonstrate the same strength of character he brought to our company every day. John Bonk approached each challenge with passion and grit that left a lasting impression on those around him. Whether navigating complex job-site conditions, mentoring others, or stepping up in difficult times, John never gave less than he had He believed in the power of hard work and heart
The Warrior Award celebrates individuals who inspire others through their strength and resolve These recipients remind us of John's legacy and the kind of leader he was someone who never gave up, who led by example, and who cared deeply about the people he worked alongside

In John Sorantino’s acceptance speech, he reminded us of a lesson learned after being involved in organized sports that relates to construction: it’s never about one person, it’s about the collective efforts of a team working together to accomplish one goal
John Bonk could draw out the best in people, and John Sorantino does the same John Sorantino talked about Bonk’s integrity, his dedication to mentorship, and his everlasting spirit of friendship that impacted him At M Davis we honor John Bonk’s memory and are pleased to have selected John Sorantino for the Warrior A d
