GRAY AND MITCHELL REILLY
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2025 // FINLEY
ALEISHA
THE LOCAL FOOTY CLUB IS WHERE ALEISHA AND MITCHELL’S LOVE STORY BEGAN. WHEN THEY WERE BOTH 17 YEARS-OLD, MITCHELL RELOCATED FROM DARWIN TO THE PLAY WITH THE FINLEY FOOTBALL & NETBALL CLUB.
Since then, they have built a life and a family together, including welcoming two beautiful children.
The pair became engaged on a family holiday to Queensland, with the Glass House Mountains the backdrop for the special occasion.
Then came the wedding planning.
“We both had always talked about having a low key wedding, that was simple yet beautiful,” Aleisha said.
“The advice we would give other couples is to have fun in the planning process - slow down and enjoy it all, because it goes so fast.
“Keep the day true to you; that’s what makes it special.”
The couple chose a classic black and white theme for the wedding, with vibrant greens in the bouquets adding a touch of colour.
Aleisha was attended by Tarla Gray, Sam Eales, Georgie Pickles and Ella Goldsmith, with Hamish Reilly, Nick Gray, Dylan Collins and Jason McAreavey rounding out the wedding party.

BROOKE DANIELS AND CHRISTOPHER ‘CJ’ HARRISON
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2025 // DENILIQUIN
WHEN IT CAME TO SELECTING THEIR WEDDING VENUE, BROOKE AND CJ KNEW THEY WANTED TO CELEBRATE THEIR CULTURES AND BE JOINED AS HUSBAND AND WIFE “ON COUNTRY”.
They had initially selected a venue on the Murray River at Mathoura, but as their wedding guest list grew they realised they would need somewhere with a bit more space for their friends and family.
The couple approached the Deniliquin Aboriginal Lands Council about use of the Four Post Reserve, just outside Deniliquin.
And it turned out to be the best venue for their celebration of love.
“Because CJ’s family is so big, we thought Four Post Reserve would be perfect as it has
accommodation, a fully equipped kitchen, and an indoor and undercover area in case it rained - which it did,” Brooke said.
The only other requirement for the couple, and the advice they would offer to other couples, is they wanted something unique which suited their relationship.
The pair exchanged vows by the water, surrounded by bushland.
Brooke was attended by maid of honour Shandel Tresize and bridesmaids Georgia Daniels and Tayla Edwards, who wore
varying dresses of similar sandy and champagne coloured satin.
CJ’s best man was Andrew Davies and groomsmen were Coby Bysouth, Kywahn Button and Durant McCrae.
Brooke and CJ have known each other for many years, meeting through Brooke’s brother, but started their relationship in 2020.
And there’s a little twist to their proposal story.
“I got sick of waiting for CJ to propose, so I asked him,” Brooke said.

Your guests. Your laughter. Your love story - captured.
Say hello to your wedding’s new favourite party trick.
The Highlight Moments Photo Booth brings the fun, keeps it stylish, and captures every grin, kiss, and goofy pose as it happens.
Locally custom built by us right here in Deni, our setup looks fabulous in any space ... and comes with everything you need — black tie attendant, deluxe backdrops, and optional memory books.
Whether you’re going for rustic romance or all-out glamour, we’ll help your big day feel like you — and give your guests something to smile about long after last drinks.
BOOK THE PHOTO BOOTH:
One of the most-loved wedding add-ons is the memory guest book.
It’s simple and beautiful. Each pair of guests pops one strip into your keepsake book and leaves a handwritten message beside it.
By the end of the night, you’re left with a photo-filled time capsule of everyone you celebrated with.
And because weddings deserve more than just one type of memory, you can elevate your booking with candid photography and videography add-ons from Highlight Creative.
While the booth captures the playful side of your guests, the photo and video team covers
the moments that matter most - the emotion, the details, the magic.
Over the past few months, Highlight Moments has appeared at graduations, 21sts, community events and live music nights across Deni and surrounds.
During wedding season, they can bring that same joy, energy and local love to couples across the district.
“Beautiful prints. A full digital gallery. A guest book bursting with personality. Whether your wedding is elegant, rustic, modern or delightfully chaotic - we’d love to be part of it,” Highlight Creative founder Jessica Kitchin said.
This stunning estate is home to 15 acres of sprawling vines, a bustling restaurant, and elegant gardens, culminating in a gorgeous wedding ceremony and reception venue.
Close to the mighty Murray River, this venue is infused with relaxed Australian aesthetics and modern dining. Ceremonies take place beside the billabong, and the reception area captures stunning river views.
Located in the heart of Moama in NSW, Morrisons Riverview Winery is a highly sought after wedding destination.
WHERE LOVE MEETS THE MURRAY
IMAGINE SAYING “I DO” AS THE MURRAY RIVER GLIMMERS IN THE AFTERNOON SUN, ITS GENTLE CURRENT CARRYING WHISPERS OF TIMELESS ROMANCE.
At Morrison’s in Moama, weddings aren’t just events — they’re love stories written in nature’s most beautiful script.
Nestled among rolling vineyards and native bushland, Morrison’s offers a setting that feels like a secret garden. Picture a ceremony beneath towering gums, where soft breezes rustle through the leaves and the river hums its quiet melody.
The reception unfolds in a space that blends rustic charm with modern elegance.
And then, the feast. Crafted by passionate chefs, the menu celebrates local flavours with dishes designed to delight every palate.
Paired with Morrison’s own award-winning wines — think velvety Shiraz and sparkling Moscato — each sip and bite becomes part of the celebration.
Arrive by car, by boat, or even aboard a historic paddle steamer for a touch of old-world romance. Whether you dream of an intimate gathering or a grand affair, Morrison’s dedicated team ensures every moment flows as effortlessly as the river beside you.
“We’re your one-stop shop as a ceremony and reception venue, and we’ve got plenty of beautiful spots for your wedding photos
too — the vineyards, the bush, the billabong, and the river,” Morrison's manager Shannon Cronin said.
“We can offer intimate receptions for 40 people, right up to 200 people in our cocktail-style events, which are becoming quite popular.
“Couples get exclusive use of our venue on their wedding day, so they can use our indoor and outdoor spaces as they see fit.
“We offer site tours for anyone still looking for their venue, but we advise you to book your weddings early. We’re already working on weddings for 2027.”
BLOOMS WITH A WOW FACTOR
CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS CAN BE AS IMPORTANT AS CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING DRESS OR VENUE. LIKE EVERYTHING, IT COMES DOWN TO YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE.
But there, are a few considerations you have to take into account when making your final decisions.
SEASONALITY:
Deniliquin Florist owner Angie Wren says unfortunately, your favourite flowers might not always be available when you plan to be married. Take trendy peonies, for example. Angie says domestically grown blooms have a very short season and are best for spring weddings only. Orchids are also popular for wedding florals, but can be notoriously difficult to source. Before you get your heart set on orchids, talk to your florist about your options.
Angie says a more readily available trending floral right now is the dahlia, and of course roses are always a classic and can come in many different colours to suit your theme. If you’re not after any flower in particular, talk to your florist about flowers that are in season - they’re fresher and more affordable.
BUDGET:
Flowers can be a significant expense. Decide how much you want to allocate and prioritise key arrangements (bouquet, ceremony arch, centrepieces etc).
VENUE AND SETTING:
Consider the venue’s style, colour palette, and scale. Large spaces may need bigger
floral installations, while intimate venues suit smaller arrangements.
COLOUR SCHEME:
Align flowers with your wedding colours. Decide if you want bold contrasts, soft pastels, or monochromatic tones. Angie says a current trend is vibrant florals and spring vibes with lots of greenery.
THEME AND STYLE:
Match florals to your wedding viberomantic, rustic, modern, boho, luxe, or minimalist. Bouquets styles are ever evolving, but Angie says there’s a shift back to the traditional bouquet style flower arrangements right now.
PERSONAL PREFERENCES:
If you can, include flowers that have sentimental meaning or personal significance. Maybe there’s a bloom that reminds you of your first date, or the day you got engaged. Certain blooms might have family or cultural significant for you.
CLIMATE AND DURABILITY:
For hot Australian summers, for example, pick hardy blooms like roses and natives that won’t wilt easily.
SCENT:
Strongly scented flowers can be overwhelming for you when held close, or when used indoors. Balance fragrance with comfort for yourself and your guests.
DON’T FORGET THE MEN:
Florals are not just for the bride and bridesmaids or table centrepieces. Boutonnières are the most traditional choice, which is a small floral pin worn on the lapel. Instead of a pocket square, a cluster of blooms arranged in the breast pocket is also a bold choice. These can be chosen to match the bouquets, or do something different for contrast.
FLORIST EXPERTISE:
Work with a florist who understands your vision, offers creative ideas, and can handle logistics (delivery, setup, preservation).

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2025 // DENILIQUIN
BRIGHT AND HAPPY WAS THE FEEL OLIVIA AND DANIEL WERE GOING FOR WHEN IT CAME TO THEIR WEDDING.
And that’s what they were able to achieve after a lot of research, which Olivia says included scrolling through TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest for ideas that would suit them.
Because planning the big day can be a little overwhelming - and can often include a lot of work - Olivia said accepting help can be a great relief. But she also said it’s important to not lose sight of your own vision for the day with all those helpers on board.
“Go with your gut feeling when it comes to wedding planning - don't go back on your
decisions because people tell you to,” she said.
“Don't get too overwhelmed. If your loved ones offer help, accept it – it’s a massive day and the more hands to help, the better.
“We suggest having a designated person to communicate with all the different vendors on the day, so you can sit back and relax.
“It’s the best day of your life, soak it up with your new husband.”
One area where Olivia applied attention to details was with her wedding dress. She selected 'Idyyllic' by Melbourne designer
Cherie Oui the Label because it was designed to accentuate the feminine figure through a series of elegant design lines.
It featured a slight fit-and-flare silhouette, a striking deep V-neckline with a surplice illusion neckline, delicate straps and a stunning godet train.
Olivia was attended by Karina Reilly, Georgia Sandford, her step-daughter Marlie Mison and Tuanei Robertson.
Daniel’s groomsmen were Nicholas Benson, Leon Russell, Steven Rinaldi and John Glowrey.
