Deniliquin Local Health Advisory Committee (Deni LHAC)

Deniliquin Local Health Advisory Committee (Deni LHAC) is connected to their local health service and work alongside both Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN). Each LHAC is unique and identify and prioritise various health services within their community.

The Committee’s role is to:

• advocate for local community

• connect with local communities about health priorities

• be a voice for planning and evaluation of services

• provide support to local health services

• promote health literacy and wellbeing in their local communities. Committee members are volunteers, and are appointed by the MLHD Board.

The Naponda United Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit organization based in Deniliquin. Our Store carries an eclectic range of home and hand-made produced products and is fully run by volunteers. We are a friendly social hub and outlet for the community.

For over more than 50 years, our Naponda branch has raised over a million dollars to purchase much-needed medical equipment for the Deniliquin Hospital.

The word Naponda means “quiet waters” which sums us up really, a gentle community where wonderful things slowly and peacefully come to fruition. We are always looking to welcome new volunteers – no matter what your age or skills we would love to pop in and see what we are all about.
