MEMBERSHIP WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST ONSC MEMBERS

A NOTE FROM YOUR MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

James & Kimberly Salata Daughters Kathrine (26), Elizabeth (23) & Allison (18) Please join us in welcoming the Salatas to membership with Old North State Club! Originally from Pennsylvania, the Salatas are currently in Virginia where Jim is an ENT surgeon and Kimberly is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. They were referred in to the club by Breon & Ray Allen and are looking forward to “a comfortable environment to enjoy time with our friends pursuing golf, tennis and fun social activities.” In addition to golf and tennis, Jim enjoys performance driving and working on race cars, and Kim enjoys running, knitting, and spending time with friends. We welcome the Salatas to the Old North State Club!

And just like that, it is summer again! Summer means so many things to everyone. Whether it’s my ten-year-old son who cannot wait for staying up late and sleeping in most mornings or my six-year-old who cannot wait to wake his parents up early every morning wanting to know what the plans for the day are, summer is a magical time for almost everyone.

Janna Grant Janna has been a full-time resident for 24 years in Badin Lake, growing up visiting her grandparent's house here on the lake as a child, and returned to be a full-time resident in 1998. She is an avid water-skier, boater, traveler, animal rescuer, and San Diego Padres fan. She is a manufacturer's representative and has represented Ashley Furniture for almost 20 years in NC. She is active in Republican causes and attends Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle.

At a club like we have here at Old North State, the 3-4 month window of summer we enjoy is truly a gift. Watersports are obviously a huge part of the lifestyle of many members, while golf, tennis, and the pool are the goto activities for many as well. No matter your family’s favorite summer activity, the Old North State Club has you covered when it comes to basically anything you want to do to enhance your enjoyment of summer! Membership enrollments continue to be strong, as we have introduced many new families to the club over the past few months. One thing that has impressed me, especially over the past couple of years as we continue to navigate our new normal in a “Covid world”, is the number of new members joining all McConnell clubs that are member referrals. While we have new homeowners and members relocating here from other areas of the country, the majority of our new members have been referred in by our current members. The best way to grow a club is from within, and we truly appreciate you sharing your club with your friends and family, and introducing them to the relaxed and rewarding lifestyle that membership has to offer. Should you have anyone you think would be interested in membership, there has never been a better time to refer them to the club. With another extravagant summer in the works, what better place is there to share time and experiences with friends and family than the Old North State Club? I would love the opportunity to send membership information to any prospective members on your behalf. Call, email, text, and I’ll get the information over to them as soon as possible. Also, please know our membership offerings are posted on the private side of the website, under My Club and Membership. I look forward to seeing you and your guests having fun and enjoying the club this summer and beyond! Chad Flowers
