ACTION NEEDED

Ethics & Compliance Annual Training

Now Open Employees at Genuine McCarthy Enterprises, Inc. or its subsidiaries can take their Ethics and Compliance Annual Training in SuccessFactors between now and July 11. Partners of the first MBC region or MHI Corporate to hit 100% completion will be entered into a drawing to win one of five $100 gift cards. The training should take two to three hours for partners and slightly more time for managers. As part of this year’s Annual Training, you will also receive a DocuSign email with required Employment Documents to review and sign. Learn more on the Intranet.

McCarthy Building Companies projects are using CloudCompli to manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections and tracking on projects. The user-friendly platform gives better visibility into compliance. It streamlines tracking, saves costs and allows remote support from Regional Environmental Managers. Read more on the Intranet.

Coming Soon: ESOP Welcome Kits for New Employee Owners

Beginning next month, new employee owners who become eligible for ESOP participation in 2025 will receive an ESOP Welcome Kit at their home address. BACK TO BASICS PART 1

A collaborative approach to implementing and measuring consistent policies in the Management System and leveraging Corporate subject matter experts to support regional teams and promote best practices. It emphasizes accountability and the use of tools and training to strengthen knowledge and understanding.

Key Accomplishment:

• Management System: Enhancement video rerelease & communication to national groups, Corporate & regional newsletters. 8% Increase in unique viewers since last month – prevideo release.

What’s Next:

• Additional communications & trainings on changes to Management System Procedures with KPIs and measures of success.

BACK TO BASICS PART 2

Alignment of regional needs and MHI services will be achieved by closing identified service gaps, resolving identified pain points, and maintaining an ongoing feedback mechanism.

Key Accomplishment:

• Refined scope of business priority to focus on current scope of services provided by MHI to MBC.

What’s Next:

• Following alignment of Corporate Leadership Team on priorities through end of 2025, determine a communication strategy to gain buy-in from National Leadership Team/Chief Operating Officer/Regional Presidents on items to solve during the balance of 2025.

FINANCIAL MODERNIZATION

Focused on CMiC ERP (Q3) implementation as the new financial and procurement system and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), following successful launch of SAP payroll (Q1).

Key Accomplishment:

• Completed user acceptance testing, priority system enhancements, security and data conversions. Enhanced Training and Management System content. Continued leadership engagement.

What’s Next:

•Training – 3 phases of training identified; first phase launched, process education second and CMiC instructional design third phase; leveraging hybrid learning approach to reduce travel / field impacts while providing needed flexibility and support

AI TASK FORCE

A temporary business-led team responsible for enabling the enterprise to integrate AI as a key differentiator for the business and future-proofing our business to take advantage of evolving AI opportunities. Built to be a highly productive group capable of sprinting to meet the needs of the business while remaining nimble enough to pivot decision-making as technology evolves.

Key Accomplishment:

• Engaging with leadership early for Glean access, preliminary testing and refinement.

What’s Next:

• Awareness: Early leader engagement.

• Desirability: Communications strategy and promotion.

• Knowledge: Educational collateral creation.

• Ability: Planning for AI use in the organization.

• Reinforcement: TBD.

SELF-PERFORM WORK ALIGNMENT & COORDINATION

Establish clear guidelines and policies for both new and existing self-perform scopes of work, ensuring comprehensive plan to manage risk and capitalize on opportunities.

Key Accomplishment:

•In-person meeting was held with focus group to refine the process map. The people involved provided a second set of eyes on the effort. Several areas of improvement were found, but the tool is also currently in use.

•We should see the latest iteration of the CRM update that allows us to capture selfperform opportunities

What’s Next:

• Working with outside consultant to develop a comprehensive change management process.

The last show she binge-watched was Vanderpump Rules and her first job was working in a candy store in Springfield, Illinois. The best concert she has attended was Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and the app she cannot live without is Instagram.

Amber Fox | Senior Learning and Development Manager

Fun Facts - Amber’s versatile taste in music shows since her favorite concert is the Zac Brown Band at Coors Field in Denver, but her choice of walk-up songs would be Thunderstruck by AC/DC. She counts snowboarding, traveling and finding new wines to try among her interests and the last show she bingewatched was Love on the Spectrum. Amber’s first job was working as a busser at a Mexican restaurant.

Jayne Macke | Technical Writer

Fun Facts - If she had a walk-up song, Jayne would channel the vibes from sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart and their hit song “Barracuda.” Jayne’s many interests include hiking, camping, reading, writing and jewelry making. The last show she binge-watched was The Bear and her first job was as a salesperson at Cato Fashions. Jayne says the best concert she has attended is Stevie Nicks at Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

Andy Wiens | Risk Manager

Fun Facts - Andy plays hockey and enjoys traveling, sports, good food and “anything adventurous.” His first job was as a hockey scorekeeper and referee during middle school and high school and his favorite concert was Disturbed. If there was an Andy walk-up song, it would have to be “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. The last show he binge-watched was The Office.

Evonne Brazell | Talent Acquisition Manager

Fun Facts - Evonne’s interests include yoga and reading and her first job was as a lifeguard. The apps she cannot live without are Kindle and Libby and her recent binge-watching journey included The White Lotus. Evonne’s favorite concert was Maggie Rogers.

Fun Facts - Jimi is into sports photography and fishing and the last show he binge-watched was Yellowstone. He likely knows a little about making a Blizzard and banana split since his first job was at Dairy Queen. The app he cannot live without is TikTok and the best concert he’s attended was taking his daughter to see the rapper NF.

Fun Facts - Abraham’s hobbies and app choices coincide since he enjoys going to the shooting range but doesn’t like to be on his phone a lot. His first job was at Casa Ole restaurant and the last show he binge-watched was Yellowstone.
