The story of a French astronaut, Sarah (Eva Green) who feels guilty for not being able to spend more time with Stella, her little daughter, due to her training schedule at the European Space Agency. Being the only woman in the demanding program, Sarah is chosen to be part of the crew on the Proxima space mission, which makes her relationship with Stella even worse.
Along with his wife, Fani and their three daughters, Franz Jägerstätter lives and works surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. After refusing to pledge an oath of allegiance to Hitler and unite with his growing ideology of hatred by fighting for the Nazis in World War II, Franz faces the threat of execution for treason. His unwavering faith and love for his family keeps his spirit alive.
