Eva Bruhn’s life is limited to her job as a translator and the longing for her boyfriend to finally ask her to marry him. However, in 1963, her plans are interrupted when she begins collaborating with prosecutors as an interpreter for the first Auschwitz trial, despite opposition from her family. The result is a novel with lots of twists and turns.
