Es una de las grandes pasiones del hombre: la F1, el tenis, el fútbol o el golf, en todos ellos hay profesionales que representan los valores que difunden las grandes maisons.

Sus representantes no son en absoluto elegidos al azar. Uno puede ser muy bueno, pero gozar de mala reputación.

Chanel La colección J12 nació en el año 2000 como resultado de la intensa labor de investigación de los diseñadores de la casa. La firme voluntad de fabricar un reloj con las mejores prestaciones técnicas hizo entrar a Chanel en el mundo de la alta relojería, sin cortapisas, sin complejos.

J12 Chromatic, la gran atracción En este 2011 el protagonismo se lo ha llevado el J12 Chromatic. Desarrollado íntegramente en los talleres suizos de Chanel, el color chromatic nace de la utilización de un material que ha irrumpido con fuerza en el siglo XXI: la cerámica de titanio, capaz de transformar su luz en destellos tornasolados. Oscilando entre el blanco y el negro, dos colores muy apreciados por Gabrielle Chanel, esta tonalidad propulsa al reloj J12 a una dimensión en la que el tiempo y la materia se fusionan. Como un halo luminoso que hubiera aprisionado los pigmentos de un cielo tempestuoso y de una aurora boreal, la cerámica de titanio se aproxima a la resistencia del zafiro, más vivo que el oro y más intenso que el platino, es resistente y realmente ergonómica.

El J12 29 mm

Con motivo del décimo aniversario de la colección J12, Chanel ha decidido lanzar un modelo nano con una esfera de 29 mm, ni uno más. Desde su creación, el reloj ha ido aumentado de tamaño. De los 38 mm del original, el modelo de culto, se pasó a los 41 y 42 mm del J12 Chrono y del J12 Marine respectivamente. Ahora, con estas nuevas dimensiones, el menor de la saga se alza como el punto culminante de una serie que se ha convertido en un mito. La miniaturización refuerza cada uno de los códigos estilísticos del J12. Acentúa el diseño de su caja redonda con bisel dentado y redobla la fuerza de sus líneas estilizadas. La pureza de la esfera irisada o lacada, liberada de parte de sus cifras, intensifica el brillo de la cerámica high tech negra o blanca. Este nano formato supone una proeza técnica, un concentrado de “savoir faire” donde las nuevas proporciones de diámetro y grosor alcanzan la perfección.

This year the spotlight was captured by the J12 Chromatic.

Developed wholly in Chanelʼs Swiss workshops, the chromatic colour comes from the use of a material that has stormed onto the scene in the 21st century: titanium ceramic, which is capable of turning light into iridescent gleams.

Hovering between white and black, two colours that were highly prized by Gabrielle Chanel, this tone propels the J12 watch to another dimension in which time and material merge. Like a luminous halo which has imprisoned the pigments of a stormy sky and an aurora borealis, titanium ceramic is almost as study as sapphire, more vivid than gold and more intense than platinum. It is also highly resistant and truly ergonomic.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the J12 collection, Chanel has decided to launch a nano version with a dial measuring 29 mm, not a millimetre more. Ever since it was created, this watch has gradually gotten bigger.

From its original 38 mm, the cult model, it grew to the 41 mm and 42 mm of the J12 Chrono and the J12 Marine, respectively. Now, with this size, the littlest member of the saga has become the culmination of a series that has attained mythical status.

The miniaturisation reinforces each of the stylistic codes of the J12. It accentuates the design of its round case with a dentate bezel and doubles the strength of its stylised lines. The purity of the iridescent or lacquered dial, freed from some of its numerals, intensifies the gleam of the black or white high-tech ceramic.

This nano format reveals technical wizardry, a concentration of savoir-faire where the new diameter and thickness achieve perfection.

Mantenimiento periódico: Es aconsejable realizarlo con una frecuencia de 3 a 5 años para conservar la precisión y el buen funcionamiento del reloj. Consta de un análisis global que determina el estado de la pieza, control del funcionamiento del escape, del juego de altura de los móviles y del conjunto de los mecanismos, desmontaje de la máquina de base y de los mecanismos adicionales. Nuestros técnicos también controlan las funciones, la precisión, la reserva de marcha y la hermeticidad.

Control de hermeticidad: Esta revisión permite la protección óptima de la máquina y la buena marcha del reloj. Para ello se desmonta la caja, se separa la maquinaria, se le limpia la caja y el brazalete con baños ultrasonido, se cambian las juntas y, si es necesario, la corona, se examina la máquina y se vuelve a montar.

Cuando el proceso de reparación se realiza en nuestro taller, el control del reloj queda reflejado en el sistema informático, y

se comprueba el material en stock del que se dispone para reparar el supuesto problema. Para reparar y analizar el reloj hay que desmontar la caja, los componentes y el brazalete.

Una vez revisado el exterior, se analiza el interior, desmontando la máquina del reloj pieza a pieza.

En este paso es en el que se identifica el error y se procede a la corrección o sustitución necesaria. Generalmente, se cambian los tornillos de la máquina, sin que ello altere el precio de la reparación.

Con el mecanismo desmontado al 100%, se realiza un prelavado manual de todas las piezas, y se practican baños con líquidos especiales, ultrasonido, rotaciones y vibraciones que aseguran el desengrase y la limpieza total.

Después del lavado, se secan todas las piezas y se ensambla la maquinaria engrasándola para garantizar el perfecto funcionamiento de todos los componentes, que puede realizarse con entre 5 y 8 aceites diferentes.

This seems like a pipedream, but it isn’t: the English studio Yacht Island Design has traced every single line in the skyline of the Principality and has put them at the service of a mega yacht, basically a floating city 155 metres long and costing around 800 million euros.

In this way, the creators have carved out enough space to locate the shipʼs different departments and offer passengers the sense of never leaving terra firma.

In fact, not a single detail is missing aboard this floating Monaco, including the Formula 1 racetrack.

The carts, replacing the race cars, can circulate along a route that reproduces the most famous sites on the race: the plaza in front of a casino, the Paris and Loews Hotels, La Rascasse and, of course, the spectacular tunnel.
