Non vogliamo più soffermarci nostalgicamente a pensare alla nostra Città. Abbiamo deciso di lasciare professionalmente Roma, di continuare a raccontarla al mondo per la sua bellezza ma di frequentarla meno e viverla e goderla da turisti innamorati. Ci limiteremo a piacevoli collaborazioni ma, almeno per ora, poco più, avendo trovato in Svizzera un nuovo mondo in cui esprimere le nostre professionalità. Qui abbiamo raccolto il consenso di grandi professionisti della moda, della bellezza, della comunicazione e dell’imprenditoria e le nostre idee hanno trovato rapidamente sbocchi creativi. Abbiamo voluto cambiare molto, collaborando con l’Ente Turismo di Lugano a raccontare un Territorio meraviglioso, con un nuovo staff redazionale, attivando nuove collaborazioni con fotografi, stylist, hair stylist, make-up artist, giorna-

listi, magazine e agenzie creative, promuovendo e partecipando attivamente ad eventi e manifestazioni in Ticino, attivando partnership commerciali ed istituzionali. Un ulteriore importante intervento, al passo col mutare dei tempi, è la nuova distribuzione della rivista che migliora e cresce grazie ai grandi numeri che solo il digitale può consentire. Utilizzando le potenzialità delle connessioni wi-fi di hotel, aeroporti, stazioni, voli aerei e vip lounge nel Mondo, raggiungeremo ogni mese oltre 5 milioni di utenti.

Da Abu Dhabi a Milano, da Zurigo a Monaco, sarà emozionante immaginare le nostre pagine sfogliate da una platea tanto vasta di lettori. Abbiamo cambiato tanto per rimanere fedeli a noi stessi. Per continuare ad essere, semplicemente, Woman & Bride.

Another important intervention, keeping pace with the changing times, is the new distribution of the magazine that improves and grows thanks to the great numbers that only digital can allow. Using the wi-fi connections of hotels, airports, stations, airline companies and VIP lounge in the World, we’ll reach every month over 5 million users. From Abu Dhabi to Milan, from Zurich to Monaco, it will be exciting to imagine our pages browsed by an audience so vast of readers. We changed a lot just to stay true to ourselves. To still be, simply, Woman & Bride.

We don’t want to nostalgically think about our city any longer. We decided to leave Rome professionally, to continue to tell the world its beauty but to live it less and enjoy it as tourists. We’ll would just make some good collaborations but, at least for now, that’s all, since we’ve found in Switzerland a new world to express our professionalism.

Here we have achieved the approbation of great professionals of fashion, beauty, communication and entrepreneurship and our ideas have quickly found creative way out. We wanted to change a lot, working with the Tourism Authority of Lugano to tell a wonderful Territory, with a new editorial staff,

Robert Mapplethorpe è tra i più importanti artisti di arti visive della fine del ventesimo secolo. Questa grande retrospettiva ripercorre la sua carriera come fotografo dalle umili origini nei primi anni '70 alle guerre culturali degli anni '90.

Provenienti dalla Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, anche due esposizioni complementari, una al J. A GLOBAL TOUR OF NEW PHOTOGRAPHS

WOMEN: NEW PORTRAITS, è una meravigliosa mostra della famosa fotografa Annie Leibovitz, commissionata da UBS ed aperta al pubblico al Wapping Hydraulic Power Station. Da il via ad un tour in 10 città nel mondo e, dopo Londra, farà tappa a Tokyo, San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong, Città del Messico, Istanbul, Francoforte, New York e Zurigo, nel corso dei prossimi 12 mesi.

Questo nuovo lavoro di Annie Leibovitz è la continuazione di un progetto iniziato più di quindici anni fa, quando la popolare serie di fotografie, “WOMEN”, venne pubblicata nel 1999. Susan Sontag,

collaboratrice del progetto originale, lo ha definito un autentico “work in progress” in quanto “WOMEN: NEW PORTRAITS” si svilupperà nel corso del prossimo anno mano a mano che la Leibovitz fotograferà nuove donne in ognuna delle città che ospiteranno Lei e la sua mostra.

‘WOMEN: New Portraits’ an exhibition of newly commissioned photographs by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz opened to the public on Saturday 16 January 2016 at Wapping Hydraulic Power Station. Following London, the exhibition will travel to Tokyo, San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Istanbul, Frankfurt, New York and Zurich, in the course of the next 12 months.

Access will be free to the public.

Leibovitz’s new work is a continuation of a project that began over fifteen years ago when her most enduringly popular series of photographs, ‘Wo-

men’, was published in 1999. Susan Sontag, with whom the original project was a collaboration, called it “a work in progress”. ‘WOMEN: New Portraits’ will evolve over the coming year as Leibovitz photographs women in each of the host cities and regions.

The new portraits unveiled in London feature women of outstanding achievement including artists, musicians, CEOs, politicians, writers and philanthropists. In addition to the new photographs, the exhibition includes work from the original series, as well as other unpublished photographs taken since.

UBS will also present a talks programme, ‘Women for Women’ through 2016. La Louis Vuitton Cup è, fin dalla sua nascita nel 1983, una delle più famose e prestigiose competizioni velistiche. Sicuramente, forte di un nome così importante nella moda, è l’appuntamento più elegante nel mondo della vela. Una sfida che, al termine delle regate di selezione tra gli sfidanti (challengers), designa l’equipaggio che contende la America’s Cup al detentore. Le regate di selezione che vedevano la partecipazione di un sempre crescente numero di sfidanti, si svolgevano anche precedentemente, a partire dal 1970, ma solo dall’edizione del 1983 è stato posto in palio il prestigioso trofeo, oltre al diritto di sfidare il defender dell’America’s Cup. All’inizio e fino al 2003 la Louis Vuitton Cup ricalcava lo schema già usato per le precedenti regate di selezione. Aveva luogo nelle The Louis Vuitton Cup has, since its starting in 1983, one of the most famous and prestigious sailing competitions. Surely with such an important fashion name, it is the most elegant event in the sailing world. A challenge that, at the end of the selection series between the challengers, designates the crew that contends the America’s Cup to the holder.

The selection regattas that saw the participation of a growing number of challengers, took place even earlier, since 1970, but only from the edition of 1983 has been put up for grabs the trophy, as well as the right to challenge the defender of the America’s Cup.

CHANEL BOY.FRIEND - Una collezione di sicuro interesse questa Chanel Boy.Friend che si articola su diversi modelli e formati, andando ad affiancare le affermate collezioni J12 e Première della Maison.

Particolare davvero il suo nome: non già “Boyfriend”, ma piuttosto, “Boy”, punto, “Friend”. Strategie di marketing a parte, il nome è molto accattivante anche se, forse, il gioco di parole non è altrettanto chiaro, volendo contare sul concetto di orologio maschile che una donna decide di “prendere in prestito” per sé stessa, come potrebbe essere l’orologio del fidanzato.

Concetto che, in realtà, ha poco a che fare con un

orologio che è, invece, decisamente femminile per il suo ricercato aspetto ispirato al tappo della bottiglia del famosissimo profumo Chanel N. 5. Una forma iconica che, per la prima volta, abbiamo visto nella Chanel Premiere, la prima collezione del marchio a utilizzare la forma del tappo del famigerato profumo reso famoso da Marilyn Monroe.

La stagione invernale è contraddistinta da spettacoli di vario genere, rappresentazioni teatrali e concerti. Dalla primavera all’autunno gli appuntamenti si fanno ancora più interessanti: si possono citare “LuganoMusica”, manifestazione musicale di alto livello dedicata alla musica classica, “Estival Jazz” che offre concerti jazz open air a Lugano e Mendrisio, lo “Spettacolo Pirotecnico”, la rassegna musicale “Blues to Bop” e la “Festa d’Autunno”. Inoltre musei di ogni tipo offrono importanti mostre temporanee e ospitano magnifiche collezioni permanenti.

CITY BRUNCH L’Agenzia di marketing e comunicazione Lapix di Lugano è l’ideatrice e l’organizzatrice di City Brunch, l’evento andato in scena il 5 maggio scorso che presentava, in chiave non convenzionale, il concetto classico della grande tavolata imbandita, tra cibi dolci e salati e specialità gastronomiche tipiche, con l’obiettivo di coinvolgere un gran numero di ristoratori e produttori per offrire la più ampia varietà di prodotti, dando la possibilità ad ognuno di esprimere il concetto di Brunch in un contesto inusuale: la Città.

Lo scopo della manifestazione è stato quello di far dimenticare, per una volta, lo scorrere del tempo, facendo vivere, senza fretta, il piacere dalla compagnia con cui immergersi completamente tra le diverse proposte enogastronomiche. Un’attrattiva che ha idealmente inaugurato la stagione turistica di Lugano. Tavoli finemente apparecchiati e sontuosi buffet hanno costellato il lungolago per questa prima esperienza che ha riscosso un grande successo.

CITY BRUNCH The marketing and communication agency Lapix Lugano is the creator and organizer of City Brunch, the event staged on last May 5 that presented, in non-conventional key, the classic concept of the great deckled table, with sweet and savory food and typical gastronomic specialties, with the aim of involving a large number of restaurant owners and producers to offer the widest variety of products, allowing everyone to express the concept of Brunch in an unusual context: the City.

L’idea del brand e le sue creazioni da cosa traggono ispirazione?

Chi è la donna “Mila Sant”?

Quanto c’è di lei del suo progetto?

Sono sempre stata una persona spirituale, sensibile agli elementi della natura. Sono attratta dalla magia delle pietre e dei cristalli. Mi affascinano, adoro le loro forme, i colori, la loro vibrante energia ed ho deciso di trasferirne le emozioni nella mia linea di costumi, per permettere alle donne di indossarle, e viverle. Per questo, nei miei costumi i cristalli vivono sia sulla stampa della tela, che come ciondoli, nella loro forma più primigenia, autentica e originale.

C’è molto, di me, in questo progetto: la spiritualità è una parte importante della mia essenza, e ho voluto convogliare l’energia e l’ispirazione che raccolgo dall’universo nelle mie creazioni.

Durante la mia carriera di modella mi sono naturalmente avvicinata al mondo della moda che ora affronto dalla prospettiva della creatività e della produzione.

There’s a lot of me in this project: spirituality is an important part of me, and I wanted to convey the energy and inspiration that I collect from the universe in my creations. During my modeling career I naturally got closer to the world of fashion, a world in which I decided to participate, right now, from

Come trovare spazio con un nuovo brand in un mondo cosi affollato come quello del beachwear?

Il mercato di destinazione delle sue creazioni è quello italiano?

Il mondo beachwear offre una proposta molto vasta, ma non lo ritengo che poi così affollato da non lasciare spazio alle nuove idee, soprattutto quando non si offrono semplici costumi da bagno, ma vere e proprie emozioni da indossare, che regalino una grande, inarrestabile energia.

I miei costumi sono interamente prodotti in Italia, quindi possono vantare il marchio Made in Italy, anche se il mercato di riferimento è, naturalmente, mondiale: attualmente esporto in nord e sud America e, grazie alla vendita on-line, riesco a raggiungere praticamente ogni angolo del mondo dove ci sia una donna che desidera indossare sulla propria pelle un po’ della mia energia.

How do you find space for a new brand in the crowded world of beachwear?

The world of beachwear offers many options and many choices, but it’s not so crowded to leave no room for new ideas, especially when what we offer are not just swimsuits, but real “emotions to wear”, that give to the woman who chooses to wear them a great, unstoppable energy.

My swimsuits are entirely manufactured in Italy, so they can boast the “Made in Italy” brand, even if our market is, of course, the entire world: currently I export in North and South America, and thanks to the e-commerce the world is not far anymore, and I can reach every corner of the globe. And wherever there is a woman who wants to wear a bit of my energy.

Quanto contano la comunicazione ed i social in questo progetto?

Oggi comunicazione e social network sono indispensabili per la crescita e la diffusione di un marchio. Ho recentemente attivato una pagina Facebook e un profilo Instagram del mio marchio (instagram.com/milasantswimwear), anche se il miglior biglietto da visita per il mio prodotto è la qualità con cui è realizzato: nel design, nei materiali, nella fattura e nella produzione. Qualità italiana con un pizzico di energia brasiliana!

What is the value of communication and socials in this project?

Today, communication and social networks are essential for the growth of any brand. I obviously have a Facebook page and an Instagram profile (instagram.com/milasantswimwear), although I think the best publicity for my product is, nowadays, it’ quality: the quality of it’s design, of it’s materials, the quality of the workmanship and of the production. Italian quality with a touch of Brazilian energy! Axe!

Provocante, sexy, audace ma altamente rischiosa, se abbinata nel modo sbagliato. Per l’estate 2016 torna la tendenza a rete vista su molte passerelle come must have della stagione più calda. Da cardigan oversize a gonne ampie in tessuto tecnico, da T-shirt traforate con effetti tridimensionali ad abiti e miniabiti da sera, la rete contagia l’intero guardaroba femminile senza tralasciare gli accessori - borse, scarpe e cinture - rese audaci da rete in maglie di diverse dimensioni e tessuti. Ma l’errore è dietro l’angolo, perché basta poco per trasformare un capo traforato da chic a cheap. Il segreto sta nel bilanciare gli accostamenti e abbinare

gli indumenti in rete con capi semplici, lineari e dai colori sobri. Le canotte sono un grande alleato della rete poiché possono essere indossate al di sotto di maglie e camice creando piacevoli giochi di contrasto.

Basta poi un pantalone tinta unita, una scarpa non troppo appariscente e degli accessori minimali per sdrammatizzare l’aggressivo effetto della rete. Per il resto via libera alla fantasia e soprattutto al buon gusto.

Per le più audaci, la rete arriva anche in spiaggia, per esclusivi costumi, interi o due pezzi, da indossare al mare o per glamour aperitivi bordo piscina.

Franziska Lerch è nata a Basilea il 18.02.1965. Dopo aver terminato scuole e apprendistato di commercio nella sua città natale si trasferisce a 22 anni a Roma per imparare la lingua italiana. Ci rimarrà per 10 anni. La sua ultima esperienza lavorativa romana è presso la RAI: lavora infatti con Teleplus Deutschland e RAI International e in quel periodo ha i primi contatti col settore Make-up, da cui rimane affascinata e che decide di non lasciare più, cominciando a farne professione. A Roma conosce il fotografo internazionale di moda Franco Taranto dove inizia la loro collaborazione artistica che continua poi a Lugano

ed in altre città d’Europa. Taranto in seguito avvia la nota agenzia di modelle/i New Faces Model Agency di Lugano Autorizzata dalla Confederazione Svizzera da tanti anni, che riscuoterà molto successo e Franziska ne diventa la truccatrice ufficiale. Dopo numerosi lavori nel campo della moda e della pubblicità, nel 2010 Franziska Lerch apre la sua scuola di trucco, e lavora con il gruppo L’Oréal Produits de Luxe.

Franziska Lerch was born in Basel on 18.02.1965.

After finishing school and commercial apprenticeship in her hometown, at the age of 22 she moved to Rome for studying the Italian language. She will remain there for 10 years. The last years of her roman experience she will spend, working at the RAI, more precisely with Tele Plus Germany and RAI International, and at that time she has the first approaches with the wonderful world of makeup.

Since then she remains captivated from makeup and decides to not leave it anymore and starts her professional career. She meets the international

fashion photographer Franco Taranto and they start an artistic collaboration that will continue in Lugano and in other cities of Europe. Taranto later sets up a Model Agency called The New Faces Model Agency Lugano authorized by the Swiss Confederation and is very successful since many years. Franziska becomes the official make-up artist of the same agency. After several jobs in the field of fashion and advertising, in 2010 Franziska Lerch opens her makeup school, and works works L’Oréal Produits de Luxe Switzerland.

Il gioiello è stato sin dall’infanzia una presenza costante nella mia vita. Nata in una famiglia di orafi e gioiellieri, muovere i miei primi passi lavorativi in questo settore sarebbe stato facile, persino prevedibile, invece un lungo percorso da decoratrice e disegnatrice, sembrava avermi allontanata da questa professione.

In seguito, il desiderio di creare un gioiello di concetto contemporaneo, spogliato del suo valore intrinseco e del metallo prezioso, mi ha riavvicinata a questa antica tradizione, forte di una sapienza assimilata per osmosi, che si perpetua e si rinnova.

Da qui nasce l’ispirazione dell’utilizzo del ferro come

metallo struttura dell’oggetto. Intrecciato, piegato, adattato a seguire le morbide forme del corpo femminile.

La scelta di utilizzare pietre naturali, preziose e semi preziose, nella varietà dei loro colori e riflessi, come esaltazione della natura. Questi legami di ferro e preziosità sono dunque il segno di un infinito che si rincorre, stabilendo arditamente, con il suo design, il nostro essere contemporaneo.

I was born into a family of jewelers and goldsmiths.

At the start of my working career, it would have seemed inevitable for me to have followed in my family footsteps, but I instead, chose to study and work in decorative art and design. With time, I felt the desire to create a contemporary concept of jewelry, enhancing not only its intrinsic value and its precious metals, but keeping in mind the art of ancient jewelry making traditions, that throughout time has continued to evolve and innovate new designs. This was to be the inspiration to the start of

using wire as the supporting structure, rather than gold or silver, for my handcrafted jewelry pieces.

Each individual piece is interwoven and shaped to resemble the soft body contours of a woman.

The choice to make use of natural stones, precious and semi precious gemstones, with their variety of colours and reflections, to give a e sense of harmony with nature. The relationship between metal wire and its preciousness, throughout its design reflects our contemporary being.

Non dirlo al mio capo è la nuova Fiction di Rai1, prodotta da Lux Vide e diretta da Giulio Manfredonia con protagonista Vanessa Incontrada e Lino Guanciale, vede la presenza nel cast di Federico Riccardo Rossi che, vestito nella serie da Trussardi, interpreta Jacopo Lombardi, un giovane praticante avvocato milanese, trasferitosi a Napoli per proseguire la carriera nel noto studio legale dell’avvocato Vinci. Intelligente ma inibito, si troverà ad affrontare le varie vicissitudini nella vita lavorativa e sentimentale.

Dopo le numerose e importanti esperienze in Italia, per Federico, sempre più versatile ed a proprio agio in diversi ruoli, è giunto il momento di fare il grande passo verso una meritata carriera cinematografica ad Hollywood.

É quindi entrata nella facoltà del Teatro Musicale dove si è laureata con lode e con la qualifica di “Artista del Teatro musicale”. Durante gli studi è stata selezionata

come presentatrice tv per il programma “Tam Tam Novosti” (Tam Tam Novita), del canale statale televisivo “Russia”, per il quale ha lavorato per un anno.

Ha partecipato a concorsi musicali e ad importanti progetti d’arte. Ha ricevuto il premio del concorso “Romansiada 2009” intitolato “La Speranza della Romanza’’ ed il premio del concorso giovanile di F.M.Chaliapin. Il famoso compositore russo Alexander Zhurbin ha scitto per lei due canzoni: “Carpe Diem” ed “Il caldo bianco”, quest’ultima scritta insieme con la famosa poetessa russa Rimma Kazakova. E’ l’unica cantante in Russia ad aver ricevuto il diritto da Sony /

Cosa può fare l’Arte di fronte ad un evento drammatico come quello del sisma che ha sconvolto la città di L’Aquila? Difficile quantificarlo, ma comunque può fare la sua parte. A documentarci l’accaduto ci sono le tante immagini, dolorosamente note, di quei giorni e poi quelle della ricostruzione. Fotografie oggettive di crolli e macerie, non solo fisiche, che l’individuo società vuole rimuovere al più presto, per far posto a nuove immagini di nuove pareti e nuovi luoghi. Superata però la fase di emergenza e soddisfatti i bisogni primari, cominciano ad affiorare nuove mancanze, soprattutto emotive, ed ecco che tocca

all’Arte scendere in campo indossando un caschetto da carpentiere per aprire il cantiere delle emozioni, quello che possa spiegare la nostalgia data dal vivere in tanti “non luoghi”. Edifici che potranno ospitare le attività quotidiane ma che non avranno quell’anima che solo il tempo può donare. Come questa ballerina che potrà continuare a danzare su di un palco nuovo, ma che esprime la struggente nostalgia per le tavole del suo palcoscenico, ormai perdute. La foto è stata realizzata nell’ambito del progetto “lo stato delle cose”, ideato dal giornalista Antonio Di Giacomo e patrocinato dall’Accademia di Belle Arti di L’Aquila.

Gli studenti dei corsi di Fotografia sono stati chiamati ad esprimersi sul dopo sisma, offrendo un loro punto di vista da unire a quello dei tanti fotografi, professionisti e non, intervenuti all’iniziativa. Questo progetto fa da apripista ai nuovi corsi di Diploma di I e II livello in Fotografia che dal prossimo anno arricchiranno l’offerta formativa dell’Accademia.

Un’Arte relativamente nuova in grado di soddisfare con immediatezza una necessità espressiva e di trovare ampi spazi di rappresentazione in gallerie o sui media, come in questo caso. Ricordiamo infatti con gratitudine che la redazione di questo magazine si arricchisce costantemente della collaborazione di tirocinanti provenienti dall’Accademia di Belle Arti di L’Aquila.

Il 23 giugno scorso, presso il Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport Hotel e con il supporto del Leonardo Restaurant, è andata in scena la prima edizione del LeoSummer, premio ideato da May Events di Alessandra D’Amato e Gioia Hartung per premiare la creatività di giovani stilisti emergenti ai quali è stata data la possibilità di presentare in passerella, davanti ad un importante pubblico di buyers e di stampa, le proprie creazioni beachwear. Le vincitrici, Allegra Palloni e Allegra Bortone stiliste di Daiquiri Lime, sono state premiate da una giuria formata dall’attore Paolo Calabresi, dal giornalista sportivo Alberto Mandolesi, conduttore della serata, dalla docente e giornalista di moda Mariella Valdiserri, dall’editore di moda Massimiliano Piccinno, dalla giornalista e fashion blogger Erika Gottardi, dall’attore e conduttore Savino Zaba.
