We have developed neighbourhood traffic schemes for local authorities that remove throughtraffic within residential areas. This is achieved by implementing traffic restrictions, road closures and bus/cycle gates. These schemes ensure throughtraffic stays on the roads designed for this purpose, while residential streets are used for access. As well as improving air quality in residential areas, such schemes provide a safer infrastructure that encourages people to switch to more sustainable modes of travel such as walking, cycling and public transport. Our project management expertise includes modelling, road safety audits and drafting Traffic Orders. We also have specialist skills in the drafting and preparation of successful funding bids, consultation and engagement for schemes from concept to construction.
