Rules Of The Tangiin Club international Squash Doubles Competition 2005 Play shall be in accordance with the World Squash Doubles Rules 2003, approved by the World Squash Federation, which takes effect from January 2003. There are a few exceptions which will be mentioned in the subsequent paragraphs. 2.

All matches will be played on a polnt-a-rally scoring basis.

3.a)

All matches will be played to the best of 3 games (9 points) before the semi-final stage. At 8-all, there Is no choice of deuce as each game will end In a "sudden death" at 9 points.

3.b) Semi-final matches and the plate final will played to the best of 3 games(15 points). At 14-

all, the receiving side (non-serving) shall clearly Indicate its choice to play either to 15 points (known as "set one") or 17 points (known as "set three"). 3.C)

The final of the main event will be played to the best of 3 games (15 points). At 14-all, the receiving side (non-serving) shall clearly indicate Its choice to play either to 15 points(known as "set one") or 17 points(known as "set three").

There shall be no warm up before a match In order to save time and get on with the tight fixture. However, players are at liberty to warm up separately In the singles courts before making their appearance In the jumbo doubles court.

The sen/er Is allowed only one serve I.e. one attempt In making a good service. From the start of the match the serving side has 2 hands. The serving and receiving order for partners is to remain the same throughout the game. In all cases of dispute, which cannot be resolved by the match referee/marker, the Tournament Referee/Tournament Director will make the final decision.

Pairing of players In a team must remain the same throughout the competition. Substitutes are not allowed unless through an injury or for health reasons, but the Tournament

Referee/Tournament Director will be the final arbiter after seeking due medical opinion. A team Is eligible to take part In the plate event after losing Its first match, unless It Is one

of the top 4 seeded teams. A walkover given by a team disqualifies it from entering the plate event.

10.

The organising committee has the authority to place teams In the most appropriate slots for both the main and plate events, after taking into account their strength, prior match pairings and gaps In the draw due to late withdrawals.

11.

The official ball Is the black Dunlop XX yellow dot provided by the organising committee.

12.

All teams are expected to referee/mark at least one match prior to or following their respective matches. We trust the spirit of co-operation and sportsmanship will prevail throughout the competition.

13.

The use of protective eye wear by players during matches Is mandatory for safety reasons. Sufficient sets of eye wear will be provided by the organising committee.

14.

All players must sign the waiver form upon signing in for the competition. Failure to do so will automatically result in a disqualification.
