LOCAL DELICACIES Ærø serves up a veritable cornucopia of local products. You can buy everything from honey, marmalade and fruit juice to chilli sauce and schnapps – all made of local ingredients. As you travel around the island, you are sure to encounter little roadside stalls selling fruit, vegetables and freshly laid eggs. You can also buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boat in Marstal, or from a fish van in Ærøskøbing.
