The «Kokkinos» Restaurant One of the oldest and most famous restaurants in Ouranoupolis is visually and gastronomically transformed into a space of identity. Part of this aspect is the executive chef Akis Stefanidis, who has created a special sea food menu. The traditional «lemonato» fish, that monks in Mount Athos use to cook, is enriched with special local tastes, consisting a unique proposal. Menu The Feast of the Athonian Sea Corn soup with spicy shrimps* and fresh flavored yogurt (**The fish and the seafood of Mount Athos are renowned for their exquisite flavor. The reason they are so different from the rest is that the waters of the bayare deep and clean, as the area has many sea currents and there are no organized cultivations to affect it. Thus, our seafood is caught in very deep waters, with the highest salinity in Greece, and rich in plankton and clean food, since no rivers or streams end up in the bay to disturb the balance of the water composition)
