The «Prasino Chorio» Traditional Restaurant Built on the slopes of Cholomontas Mountain, the natural stone and harmonized restaurant of PRASINO CHORIO is one of the most exceptional culinary corners of Eastern Halkidiki. Elitist dishes based on the rich local production of Arnea, raw materials that grown on the local gardens, the mountain slopes and the fields, create a culinary myth around which the chef Dimitris Tsananas structured a great menu card. Perfectly harmonious combinations, colorful dishes and lovely local wines, make you feel the total euphoria – since the taste, the smell and the vision are taking off from the beginning to the end of each lunch or dinner! Today you will enjoy an authentic «feast of moudovina», a real «ancient Greek symposium», which has been created by the conspicuous executive chef Sotiris Evangelou from MAKEDONIA PALACE HOTEL (Thessaloniki) especially for the KOUZINA 2019. The menu aspires to take off your taste buds and to prove the unbreakable connection of the culinary Thessaloniki and Halkidiki East!

Menu The Feast of Moundovina Trilogy of mushrooms* and meringue egg with chestnut powder (*The wooded Cholomontas mount is known for its rich diverse flora and for the abundance of its natural assets. Six thousand plant and herb species grow on its slopes, which also bear its famous firs, and mushrooms -that grow everywherewithout human care. They thrive there because this is just how nature ordained. Every year around the beginning of autumn after the first rain has fallen, the residents of the mountain organise a big celebration where, after the rich mushroom harvest, they invite us all to the mountain to offer us their famous mushroom dishes, local wine and tsipouro and their warm hospitality, which is part of their lifestyle)

Xinos trahanas** with goat cheese and Arnaia sausages with red wine (** The Varvara Women Association produces organic trahana, made by fresh goat milk)

Lamb with truffles, fried tomatoes and capers Dessert: Cannelloni with Yoghurt***, Confi Orange and Frozen Mountovina**** (***Yoghurt is the main product of the primary production in Arnea. In the traditional small factory, Antonis Karayiannis makes yogurt according to the recipe of his mother Angeliki, who was a famous shepherd and very good housekeeper. Antonis’ yogurt is made with a mix of local milk (goat / sheep / cow milk), so it is so delicious and tasty) (****Moudovina is a distillate of honey, produced only in Arnea by local beekeepers)
