The KOUZINA culinary festival KOUZINA is the premier culinary event of the year in Eastern Halkidiki! In the shadow of the sacred Athos, in the cove of the bay of Mount Athos, on the sandy Ammouliani Island, at the foot of the Aristotelian mountain, in the Strymonikos bay, in the Akantios Bay, on the verges of Cholomontas, we invite you to smell and taste our organic products and flavours in a magnificent culinary feast, in which you participate as of this day!

Enjoy! The ÂŤLemoniadisÂť Restaurant In 1960, Iosif Lemoniadis from Ouranoupoli had a brilliant idea! To creat a restaurant in front of the Mount Athos Bay, overlooking the port of Ouranoupoli, in order to welcome visitors to Mount Athos and offer wonderful seafood delicacies to the then few residents. The principle he adhered to was to always use fresh, premium quality fish, caught early in the morning by the famous local fishermen and fresh vegetables, which he obtained from local orchards, gardens and estates. Since then, all things, life and the economy included, have changed. Nevertheless, at the Lemoniadis restaurant, grandfather Iosif's principle are still intact, applied until today in practice by his son Michael and his grandsons, Iosif and Elias. Pure flavours that combine seafood with Athonite cuisine, Mediterranean dishes with emphasis on local organic products and fresh seafood, traditional cooking methods, exemplary cleanliness, order, incredible service, polite people...: these are the magical ingredients and quality features of the Lemoniadis restaurant - grandfather Iosif's legacy that transcends space and time! Tellingly, half a century later, this Restaurant continues to attract Greek and foreign visitors with its cuisine, always maintaining the principles and tradition of an erstwhile, unique era. This evening, the executive chef and teacher of the AKMI Group, Hercules Aspridis (guest chef), the owner Michalis and the KOUZINA head chef Dina Nikolaou create a seafood menu inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine of the Athonite State and the surrounding sea.

Menu the Mediterranean Gastromical Feast Lobsters* / smoked butter / loquats / dill cream (*The fish and seafood of Mount Athos are renowned for their exquisite flavor. The reason they are so different from the rest is that the waters of the bay are deep and clean, as the area has many sea currents and there are no organized cultivations to affect it. Thus, our seafood is caught in very deep waters, with the highest salinity in Greece, and rich in plankton and clean food, since no rivers or streams end up in the bay to disturb the balance of the water composition)

Green Salad / fresh tuna / herbs / crust / vinaigrette moundovina (a kind of strong tsipouro made by wax and honey) Fish / Paleochori potatoes** foam (crème) / hot beans** (briam) (**Paleochori is famous for the production of organic potatoes and red beans, which are called by the locals “boubouniaria” or “barbounofasoula”. The wet soil at the “foot” of Kakavos and the Aristotelian Mountain favors their cultivation and make the product sweet, tasty “full” and very delicious)

Dessert: Revani (a traditional syrup cake) / Masticha tasted Ice-cream Wine: METOCHI XROMITSA white

The blessed sea of Ouranoupolis!
