EDITOR’S LETTER

Hello everyone!

We have finally reached the fall season. What does this change here? Nothing really—we just show you all the new and exciting happenings to enjoy!

Many showings were held, as NYFW was the moment for September—not just the week to be honest. The collaborative installation at The Armory Show in New York, celebrating Lindberg’s Spring/Summer 2025 sunglasses collection, an exploration of light, color and minimalistic form. Malan Breton presented his Spring Summer 2026 womenswear and menswear collections, bringing together the worlds of Broadway and high fashion in his show, “The Age of the Machine, The Heart of Humanity.” High jewelry house Leviev and women’s couturier Michael DePaulo’s presentation dazzled an audience of tastemakers and VIPs with a transformative pairing of jetset couture and Leviev diamond high jewelry designs. We also got a sneak peek into the upcoming Harvest Moon Gala, with a private cocktail party having been hosted by the gala’s honorary chairs. We cover a super wide range of events, so you’ll also see that The New York Quadricentennial Committee recently hosted the 400th anniversary of the founding of New York City.

In this Mann About Town issue, you’ll also see fall clothing items that keep you comfy and stylish. The handbag Maison de Sabré is one that will elevate your style, and if you’re traveling, we have the luggage that thrives on making floors feel like runways. Spritz some Penhaligon's fragrance on you while you’re at it and you’re more than set.

Food is always a must. The Lotus Room brings modern Asian culinary artistry and design to Manhattan’s theater district and it’s twist of having a “Confessional” to get into a hidden bar elevates the experience. Pulpería Latin Mediterranean Kitchen is also serving, with flavors of Latin America adding Mediterranean touches to many dishes.

Wanting more entertainment? Aside from the many travel options you’d want to look into, we have ticketing options that make you feel better about being a seasonal ticket holder, and Wynn hosts a hypercar exhibition.

And of course, we have our cover star, a woman named Skye Ostreicher, a cultural entrepreneur who blends style, strategy and influence. She likes to practice “human chemistry” and simply bring people together in a setting where people can let their guard down and simply be.

There’s so much to enjoy in this issue and I look forward to finally sharing it with you!

Collaborative Installation at The Armory Show in New York

True to its heritage, Lindberg—the Danish luxury brand known for its architectural approach to glasses—merged art, design and technical refinement in a special collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Yuko Nishikawa. This captivating installation, unveiled at The Armory Show in New York, celebrated Lindberg’s Spring/Summer 2025 sunglasses collection, which in itself is an exploration of light, color and minimalistic form. At the heart of the collaboration is a shared reverence for materials and the stories they carry.

Inspired by the colors of Lindberg’s titanium frames and colorful lenses, Nishikawa, known for her dreamlike mobiles and sculptural storytelling, transformed carefully selected elements of Lindberg’s production—lasercut titanium, precision-milled acetate and exclusive sun lenses—into kinetic sculptures. These floating mobiles explore light, color and weight, suspended in delicate balance by wires—a nod to Lindberg’s iconic titanium wire frame glasses.

And inspired by the colors of the rainbow, Nishikawa approached this with artistic investigation into perception: how color shapes emotion, motion alters perception, and how even the lightest materials can hold symbolic weight.

Stepping into the space, visitors found themselves surrounded by drifting shapes—each one a metaphor for fleeting thoughts, shifting moods and the imprints left behind by time. Moving through the space, the mobiles responded with gentle motion, casting multicolored shadows across the space. Sun lenses and layered production elements acted as optical filters, altering the way light and surroundings are experienced, redefining the space.

This installation was both a tribute to craftsmanship and a meditation on transformation, where materials rich with intention are recontextualized into moments of quiet beauty. Together, Lindberg and Yuko Nishikawa invited visitors to step inside a sensorial space where design becomes sentiment and perception is elegantly reframed.

AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK WITH SHOW

‘The Age of the Machine, The Heart of Humanity’

Malan Breton presented his Spring Summer 2026 womenswear and menswear collections, bringing together the worlds of Broadway and high fashion in his show, “The Age of the Machine, The Heart of Humanity” at the Léman Ballroom in New York City. The show featured two of Broadway’s top stars, each a Tony Award winner, who walked the runway as living characters in Breton’s script-driven narrative.

Inspired by the tension between the Age of the Machine and the enduring Heart of Humanity, the SS26 collections are both futuristic and deeply poetic and are presented in four Acts—The Heart, Time, Transformation and Legacy.

Act I - The Heart in support of CaringKind honored compassion and the resilience of caregivers facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s. Act II - Time explores precision and the relentless march of time through collaboration with King Seiko, the legendary Japanese watchmaker. Act - III Transformation celebrates reinvention, and beauty as resilience with wigs.com and iconic hair stylist Vivienne Mackinder, and the final chapter, Act IV - Legacy, draws inspiration from the grandeur of the Gilded Age in collaboration with SohoMuse.

Drawing also on the opulence and grandeur of the Gilded Age, the designs

reimagine the excess and elegance of that era for a modern world caught between technology and tradition. Silks, brocades and master tailoring echo the ornamental richness of the late 19th century, while futuristic structures and a musical narrative thrust the garments firmly into the present and future.

Notable attendees included: Malan Breton, Jessica Pimentel, Tony winner Danny Burstein, Mêle Mel, Noel Ashman, Carmen D’Allesio, Tony winner Priscilla Lopez, Tony winner Baayork Lee, Jean Shafiroff, Consuelo Vanderbilt-Costin and Tony winner Lucia Hwong Gordon.

An additional first at the show, Malan Breton debuted as both designer and composer. The SS26 menswear and womenswear collections were presented with an original score written by Breton himself, blending orchestral arrangements with futuristic soundscapes. The music mirrored the collections’ narrative: a dialogue between mechanical precision and human emotion.

The show was held in support of the charity, CaringKind and show sponsors which included King Seiko, Sohomuse and wigs.com. Partners of the show included Back Of Bottle, Odilis lashes and Sohomuse. Hair was provided by Back of Bottle and beauty by Odilis lashes.

Denyce Graves Foundation Harvest Moon Gala Kick-Off Party

The Denyce Graves Foundation announced its upcoming Harvest Moon Gala at a private cocktail party hosted by the gala’s honorary chairs Barbara Tober and Suzi Cordish, and gala chair Ann Gottlieb.

The gala honors tenor Andrea Bocelli, who will perform. Also being honored are the Artistic Director for Washington National Opera, Francesca Zambello, philanthropist and singer Chandrika Tandon, and singer, composer and founder of the African Diaspora Project, Dr. Louise Toppin. The gala’s guests will include such legends as Martina Arroyo, Kathleen Battle, Deepak Chopra, Matthew Epstein, Simon Estes, Sherrill Milnes, Neil Shicoff, George Shirley and Twyla Tharp.

With the stunning soprano at her side, Barbara Tober described Denyce as, “So beautiful! Her voice and the voice of all of the young people in her foundation’s program, they are the future, and they are announcing one by one, incredible talent.” This was echoed by her co-chair Suzi Cordish, “10 years ago, I was lucky to discover this organization. What they are doing is so important. The October 6th Gala is the first time the Denyce Graves Foundation had an event in New York City. It will be thrilling. Please join us.”

Finally, Denyce spoke. “I love performing but teaching changed my life. When I started this foundation, it was a dream I didn’t know that I had. Now we’ve the great joy of introducing these young people to you. I'm incredibly proud of the way that they support each other. I know that there's a rumor how, on stage, we’re out to kill. Let me tell you, there's love and a lot of support.”

With that, four singers in the foundation program, Inayah Raheem, Hannah Jones, Lauren Torey and Symone Harcum, sang, each in turn

bringing tears to the eyes of the audience, which included Robert Ainsley, Yanna Avis, Eldric Bashful, Edgar Batista, Janna Bullock, Kym Canter, Machine Dazzle, Priti Gandhi, April Gow, Susan Gutfreund, Nejma Khanum Beard and daughter Sara Beard, Andrew Martin-Weber, Betsy McCaughey and Paul Batista, Bernadette Murray, Ann Nitze, Bill Palant, Jamie Saakvitne, Alexa Smith, Anthony Tommasini, as well as foundation board member Clyde Jones.

The Denyce Graves Foundation (DGF) is a nonprofit organization anchored at the intersection of social justice, American history and the arts. DGF seeks to expand the public’s understanding of the rich, multicultural history of classical music by bringing the stories of our nation's hidden musical figures to light.

This is achieved through collaboration and alliance with renowned chroniclers, presenters and educators in history and culture, including The Smithsonian Institution, The Metropolitan Opera, the Library of Congress, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, as well as with some of America's elite historically Black colleges and universities, conservatories and schools of music.

Founded by Emmy and Grammy award-winning, world-renowned opera star Denyce Graves, The Denyce Graves Foundation celebrates trailblazing musicians, music educators and composers of color through community engagement programs, concerts and presentations, creation of new works of art, establishment of young artist development training and more, as well as via social and traditional media. The foundation sets the stage for true representation in American vocal arts by providing opportunities, access and exposure that all singers need to take ownership of their talent and shape their own fulfilling careers.

ABOUT GEN ART

New York City, the mid-nineties. A group of friends—a mix of young artists and newly minted professionals—were just starting out after college. The artists needed a way to show their work, and the corporate kids wanted to buy art. They all loved great parties, and so they started throwing them in a Lower East Side loft. Friends invited friends. Word spread. One night, Heidi Klum rocked the dance floor. Another, Moby took over the DJ booth. In 1995, this magic became a mission: launch generations of filmmakers, fashion designers, musicians and artists. For 20 years, Gen Art has curated the hottest fresh faces and showcased them at incredible events, welcoming a coveted mix of members, industry elite, celebrities and press. This is the Gen Art community that comes together to celebrate young promise.

In 2015, Gen Art evolves as a new media platform and talent incubator for today's highly creative, collaborative and innovative age. Artist-first always, Gen Art is passionate about those transformative moments in a young person's career when it begins to really take shape. As storytellers and content creators, Gen Art represents the best this generation has to offer with a mission to explore and innovate the path to artistic success, to nurture the most promising fresh faces, and to inspire future generations of artists.

THE FOUNDING OF NEW YORK CITY

The 400th Anniversary

The New York Quadricentennial Committee recently hosted the 400th anniversary of the founding of New York City. Held at The Colonial Dames of America Headquarters at The Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden (417 East 61st Street), it was the second of three Unity Events.

The evening began with a welcome reception, followed by a Five-Star Panel discussion: “New York in 1625 and New York in the Future,” moderated by Peggy King Jorde, a distinguished cultural expert, Harvard Loeb Fellow, and Consulting Penn Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. King Jorde led a discussion exploring the past to build a better future with Joe Baker, an enrolled member of Delaware Tribe of Indians, co-founder and executive director of Lenape Center in Manhattan; Dutch Consul General Ahmed Dadou; Pauline Toole, commissioner of the NYC Department of Records and Information Services; and Colonel Adrian Bogart, presiding director general of the New York Quadricentennial Committee

A special proclamation from New York City Mayor Adams was presented, citing September 13, 2025 as Manahatta—Nieu Amsterdam day, to recognize the original names of lower Manhattan of the time. There was a ceremonial cake-cutting to honor this historic milestone, as well as a closing traditional chant by Lenape Chief Zunigha. Attendees generously bid in a silent auction to benefit targeted scholarships that advance original research on the First Peoples and early New Amsterdam. Additional notable guests in attendance included the Lenape Center cofounders Curtis Zunigha and Hadrien Coumans, as well as Brian Krist, Esq., regent of the University of the State of New York.

Portions of this event were made possible by a grant from The Netherland-America Foundation, Heineken and Len Tantillo, historical and marine artist. Catering was provided by Tuxedo Park Events. The

event sponsors were the Saint Nicholas Society, the Society of the First Families of New York, the Holland Society of New York and the Colonial Dames of America.

The New York Quadricentennial Committee’s three-year commemoration is a campaign of learning on the establishment of the first multicultural city in America. The Unity Event began last year commemorating the first landing of thirty Walloon families on today’s Governor’s Island. This year marks the second event celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Establishment of Fort Amsterdam, located at what is now the Customs House at Bowling Green on the southern tip of Manhattan Island. Built by the Dutch West India Company in 1625, the fort was strategically set on a hill overlooking where the Hudson River meets New York Harbor and served as an important hub for trade, diplomacy and defense. The committee is planning a third event for 2026. More information on this event, as well as New York’s 400th can be found at ny400th.org or by emailing unity@ny400th.org.

Pepe Jeans: Autumn—Winter 2025 Men’s & Women’s Collection

Pepe Jeans London, one of the brands of the global fashion group AWWG, reaffi rms its dedication to denim and celebrates its British style roots with the new AW25 collection. Imbued with retro notes and mixed with a contemporary twist, this collection features a striking color palette perfect to ease into the colder months ahead. For women, the season begins with a nod to the British coastal colors. Sandy tones and an array of blues set the tone, while bright pops of yellows add a nice contrast touch. As the temperature drops, bold reds, darker shades of blues and earthy pinks and browns are on the rise. These shades take over prints, puffers, knits and other garments, adding a college-infused style to their wardrobe and bringing the charm of the countryside for the modern urban dweller.

For men, this season channels the same British appeal. Signature graphics and retro-inspired logos bring a vintage vibe to tees and sweats that are easy to wear and hard to ignore. Shirts too off er a variety of fi nishes, from reliable solid colors to warmer corduroys and checks. When it comes to pants, Pepe’s fi t guide helps men fi nd their seasonal go-to trousers and jeans.

Denim, as always, is engraved in everything the brand does, and this collection is no different. The return of classic fits brings iconic denim details from the past into the present for women, while new silhouettes are introduced for men. Every piece in the collection has just the right amount of edgy British style that makes Pepe Jeans London so recognizable and desirable.

ESPERA

OPENS AS FIRST FIVE-STAR HOTEL ON KIMOLOS

REDEFINING SLOW LUXURY IN THE CYCLADES

Photos courtesy of Espera Suites

A new chapter in Greek hospitality begins with the opening of Espera, the first and only five-star hotel on the island of Kimolos. Intimate in scale yet uncompromising in vision, Espera introduces a new benchmark for island living in the Cyclades: a sanctuary where slow luxury, genuine hospitality and simplicity as a state of mind define the guest experience.

Set against sweeping views of the Aegean, Espera is designed as a discreet retreat, offering just 18 suites that merge elegance with seclusion. Architecture draws inspiration from the historic Castle of Kimolos, with sloped walls and whitewashed forms that evoke the feeling of a sheltered Cycladic village. Interiors balance natural textures with refined restraint, creating private sanctuaries that open directly onto the horizon.

At the heart of the property is Amoni, an evening dining destination guided by Chef Dimitris Dimitriadis. His menu pays homage to Kimolos’ culinary heritage while advancing a contemporary vision rooted in local, organic ingredients. Guests and visitors alike are invited to dine in the restaurant or in the privacy of their suites, each meal reflecting the island’s distinctive flavors and traditions. Complementing the gastronomic program are a pool bar for light fare and cocktails, and a panoramic breakfast service showcasing regional specialties.

Beyond its walls, Espera serves as a gateway to the island’s hidden treasures: mineral landscapes, crystalline waters, quiet villages and secluded beaches accessible only by foot or boat. Guests may also embark on private excursions to nearby Poliegos, the largest uninhabited island in the Aegean. Cultural encounters with local artisans and restorative wellness offerings further anchor the experience in the island’s rhythm of life.

Kimolos, often referred to as the “silent island,” is home to fewer than 1,000 permanent residents and remains one of the Aegean’s last underexplored destinations. Renowned for its authenticity and geological wonders, the island offers visitors a rare glimpse into Greece before the rise of mass tourism.

“On a hot summer day in 2014, I arrived in Kimolos for the first time, seeking to unwind and recharge both body and soul,” said Panos Paraskevopoulos.

“What I discovered on this small, lesser-known, off-beat island was an instant love affair with its laid-back charm, pristine and sparsely populated beaches, delicious cuisine, picturesque main town (Chorio), and, most of all, its warm and welcoming locals. It transported me back to a time when summer holidays meant experiencing unspoiled, authentic hospitality in places untouched by the hustle of cars and crowds, where real quality of life was genuinely valued.”

With its opening, Espera positions Kimolos firmly on the cultural map, offering intrepid travelers an opportunity to rediscover the Aegean through the prism of authenticity, discretion and timeless elegance.

Espera opened its doors in June 2025 as the first and only 5-star hotel on Kimolos.

Amoni is open in the summer season from May to October to all guests, with meals averaging €50 per person.

HELLO FALL, GOODBYE DRY SKIN

Just as your wardrobe changes with the seasons, so does your skin care. The question is, how should your skin care routine change for fall? To find out more, we turned to skin care guru Peter Thomas Roth. An influential segment leader in the beauty industry, Roth is known for creating clinically stronger formulas and leads all research and development efforts at his state-of-the-art lab and manufacturing facility.

What’s the most important product to have in your fall skin care routine?

“Moisturizer, of course! Depending on your climate, fall weather is typically cooler and less humid. As a result, your skin may require extra hydration to maintain a healthy moisture barrier.”

Skin barrier products are trending. What exactly is the skin barrier, and why is it important?

“The skin barrier is the outermost layer of skin that helps prevent moisture loss by defending against the effects of external aggressors. Common fall aggressors include cold temperatures, dry air and windy weather. If your skin is not properly hydrated, your skin barrier becomes weakened and more vulnerable to damage.”

What kind of moisturizer should be in everyone’s fall routine?

“If you’re seeing redness, dryness and irritation, it’s time to get my Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Rich Barrier Moisturizer! These are all signs of skin barrier damage, so you’re going to want a moisturizer that’s formulated especially for the skin barrier. My rich cream is clinically proven to immediately strengthen the skin barrier and drenches your skin with a rich cloud of protective moisture. It also helps prevent future moisture loss!”

How should you use Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Rich Barrier Moisturizer?

“How you use my rich cloud cream varies by skin type. If your skin type is normal or dry, I recommend applying it twice daily onto cleansed skin, in the morning and at bedtime. However, if your skin type is oilier, you may prefer to use it as night cream and apply one of my other Water Drench® moisturizers during the day. My original Water Drench® Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer is a lightweight cream for all skin types and drenches the skin with a liquid cloud of fluffy-light moisture, while my Water Drench® Hyaluronic Jelly Moisturizer is a gel for oilier skin types and drenches the skin with a weightless cloud of refreshing moisture. The good thing is, they are each packed with a 30% Hyaluronic Acid Complex, a potent hydrator that draws in water… Brilliant!”

Besides supporting your skin barrier, why is keeping your skin moisturized important?

“Moisturized skin is younger-looking skin! Staying consistent with your skin care routine and applying a moisturizer every day and night will help keep your skin looking plump and youthful. My Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Rich Barrier Moisturizer is clinically proven to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles immediately and over time.”

PENHALIGON’S

ANNOUNCES THE CUT, THE NEW EAU DE PARFUM

The fragrance house’s latest scent is a contemporary tribute to Savile Row’s cutting-edge craftsmanship.

Penhaligon’s, the esteemed British fragrance house, announced the launch of its latest eau de parfum, The Cut.

The new eau de parfum, created by Paul Guerlain, is a daring take on a fougère paying homage to the cutting-edge fashion and artistry of London’s most iconic sartorial street, Savile Row.

A contemporary take on a classic fougère, the fragrance opens with a fresh, invigorating rush of mint and basil. This is balanced by the earthy, woody depth of cypress, adding both sophistication and grounding. Underneath, fir balsam weaves through the composition, forming a strikingly modern yet timeless scent that celebrates the elegance of the past while establishing itself in the present.

Photos courtesy of Penhaligon’s

The Cut is a significant addition to Penhaligon’s portfolio because it's:

– Inspired by the craftsmanship of Savile Row. The Cut is a celebration of the impeccable tailoring traditions of Savile Row, while also looking at sartorial fashion through a modern, edgier lens. Penhaligon’s have long been champions of craft in all its forms, and this fragrance, designed for the forward-thinking individual, is no exception.

– A daring take on the fougère. The Cut reimagines the traditional fougère, blending mint, cypress and fir balsam to create a fragrance that’s both sharp and elegant. It’s a sophisticated twist on the classic fougère, which also includes notes of lavender, sage and vetiver, designed for today’s discerning fragrance connoisseur.

– The intersection of fragrance and fashion. The Cut is the perfect symbol of the growing relationship between fine fragrance and high fashion. Launching just before London Fashion Week, an event dedicated to the craftsmanship of fashion and design, the fragrance is reflective of the spirit of creativity, innovation and artistry found in all forms of fashion.

which also includes notes of lavender, sage and vetiver, artistry found in all forms of fashion. aesthetic roots

ABOUT PENHALIGON’S

With The Cut, Penhaligon’s marks a significant step in its evolution, embracing a more contemporary aesthetic without losing sight of its roots in heritage and craftsmanship.

This is the story of a man who conjured dreams and possibilities through the power of perfume. Fragrances that connect the past and present. Perfume that sailed through the years from William Penhaligon’s first shop in Victorian London, delighting seekers and sensualists with a message from the past to the future: perfume is alchemy, transforming prose to poetry as skin becomes scent.

A passage of time and scent. Burnished by history, gilded with pleasure, for rebels of the future.

A Cultural Entrepreneur Blends

Style, Strategy & Influence

The spotlight cuts through the marbled hall of Surrogate’s Court at New York Fashion Week’s Style Across the Aisle, catching an unlikely runway star mid-stride. Instead of a measured walk, he drops into a full breakdance, spinning across the stage in slick black leather by Harlem designer Mel Maxi, a protégé of Dapper Dan. The crowd gasps, hands flying to mouths, as disbelief ripples down the front row. Candace Bushnell claps wildly, fashion founders lean forward, and applause fills the gilded room. From the mic, a voice cuts through the chaos: “You didn’t see that coming, did you?”

It’s Skye Ostreicher, the woman everyone simply calls Skye, and the architect of the night. For those who thought politics was too heavy, too boring, too divisive for the runway, Skye proved otherwise. The event, only in its second season, has become one of Fashion Week’s most surprising tickets. Its secret is Skye’s alchemy. Politics, it turns out, can be not just surprising but fun. And making politics fun, against all odds, is Skye’s signature.

Style Across the Aisle is her boldest experiment yet: a runway where leaders model designs by creators from their own neighborhoods. “These are elected officials,” Skye teased from the mic. “They’re supposed to be role models. Tonight, they’re showing real model behavior.” The premise is deceptively simple: pair a public figure with a local designer, and let style tell the story. But the results have been electric.

Andy Yu, a designer with a cult following and friends like Martha Stewart, crafted a tailored blazer embroidered with delicate fly-fishing flies, an ode to his model’s boyhood in the Adirondacks. Queens-based Soara, founded by Surya Garg, blended South Asian craftsmanship with sleek modern cuts, her designs flowing as naturally on the runway as they do in Jackson Heights. Kate McGuire of Converted Closet, whose upcycled couture once dressed Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex and the City, turned vintage textiles into a floral gown that stunned precisely because it felt both timeless and fresh. And Harlem’s Mel Maxi, with roots in Dapper Dan’s bold aesthetic, closed the night with the leather suit that became the talk of the town when Paterson flipped into a handstand.

The brilliance of the show lies in this neighborhood DNA. Each garment carries the imprint of a district, a culture, a lived experience. In that room, filled with designers, editors, donors and voters, the labels of “politician” or “power broker” disappeared. What remained was laughter, surprise and the undeniable truth that clothes can reveal the human side better than speeches ever could.

Skye likes to say she practices “human chemistry.” She studied actual chemistry at the University of Miami, planning on medical school, until a talk by university president Donna Shalala, joined by President Bill Clinton, cracked the door to politics. Shalala’s story about serving as designated survivor during a State of the Union revealed the hidden stakes of leadership. Skye was hooked not by policy, but by people. She accelerated her studies, graduated early, and earned a master’s degree in public health and public policy.

People connect when you show the person, not the category.

In The Room Media

Her career, however, was never a straight line. In 2020 she joined Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign, only to watch it collapse days before COVID shut New York down. “I was unemployed and locked inside,” she recalled. Undaunted, she began calling everyone she knew, hosting raw Zoom conversations that grew into her digital interview series, “Political Personalities with Skye.” A media company soon hired her to lead digital coverage, but in 2023 it cut the division. Instead of retreating, Skye doubled down. With strategist Carolyn Vaeth, she turned a sketch of an idea into Style Across the Aisle and founded In The Room Media, her “mediafirst advocacy” shop. “People didn’t know what to make of me,” she said. “I never used my press pass for gotcha questions. I used it to elevate the positive.” That instinct to see the person rather than the position is what now defines her empire.

For Skye, fashion isn’t about fabric alone; it’s a Trojan horse for empathy. Style Across the Aisle is spectacle with substance, showing how couture can collapse walls. One minute a conservative lawmaker and a progressive council member are passing each other on the catwalk. The next minute, they are laughing together in shared fabric, their differences softened by style. “Clothes disarm people,” Skye explained. “They remind us of what we share, not just what sets us apart.”

It is a strategy she applies everywhere. Her interviews have put officials in garbage trucks at 4 a.m., Cessnas above Manhattan, and tattoo chairs beside her. Each scenario strips away talking points and makes room for real connection. To Skye, it is all one project: changing the chemistry of power by changing the setting.

Community & Jewish Philanthropy

Philanthropy is woven into Style Across the Aisle, each year spotlighting a nonprofit partner whose mission expands the runway beyond fashion. This season, the spotlight fell on Witness to Mass Incarceration’s Art of Tailoring program, which works with formerly incarcerated and homeless youth. The program’s three tracks—entrepreneurial training, essential tailoring skills and small-business expansion—give participants practical expertise and a platform for reinvention. Their creations, modeled by Queens leaders, carried not just crisp lines and bold cuts but also a message: fashion can be a second chance, sewn with resilience and ambition.

Beyond the runway, Skye’s commitments reflect the same philosophy of humanizing what too often feels divisive. She is deeply involved with Jewish organizations including the Jewish Community Relations Council, Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTCLI) and the United Jewish Appeal (UJA), where she lends her network and media savvy to advocacy and cultural projects. At a Long Island synagogue this spring, she spoke on Holocaust Remembrance Day, warning of the dangers of labels. Just as she works to peel away “Democrat” or “Republican” in politics, she urged the audience to see beyond the label “Jew,” a word that still too often carries prejudice.

“People connect when you show the person, not the category,” she said. That ability, whether on a runway, in a civic setting, or at a synagogue podium, is what makes Skye’s chemistry unique. She designs not just rooms but moments of recognition, turning style into a universal language of connection.

Building Connections.

If Skye expands Style Across the Aisle to Miami or Chicago, she will not just be exporting a fashion show. She will be exporting a philosophy: that power can be playful, that leaders can be relatable, that couture can stitch together divides speeches never could.

It is politics as theater, but with texture and sequins instead of slogans. It is culture reimagined as collaboration, stitched neighborhood by neighborhood. And it leaves the audience—designers, editors, donors and voters alike—wanting more.

With two master’s degrees, a Fashion Week franchise and a Rolodex of New York’s cultural power players, Skye Ostreicher is only beginning. “Political Personalities” will keep peeling back facades. In The Room will keep building connections. And Style Across the Aisle will keep strutting forward, proving that fashion and humanity share more than a spotlight: they share the power to transform.

New York has never lacked for parties or politics. Skye Ostreicher is the first to make them indistinguishable, and to leave the city wondering which room or runway she will unlock next.

Luggage on Another Level: Style-Forward Functionality for

Modern Travelers

Stylish sustainable design in motion with LEVEL8 Adventure Series luggage

Travel is no longer just about reaching a destination—it’s a cultural experience, a lifestyle statement and increasingly, an expression of personal style. For today’s global explorers, luggage is expected to perform with precision while also reflecting refined taste. Enter the LEVEL8 Adventurer Series, a new benchmark in travel innovation where fashion meets function with uncompromising elegance.

DESIGN THAT DEFINES MODERN TRAVEL

At first glance, the Adventurer Series commands attention with its sleek, minimalistic silhouette. Built from premium German-made Makrolon polycarbonate, the shell combines a glossy, modern aesthetic with exceptional durability. Lightweight yet ultra-resilient, it’s crafted to withstand the rigors of constant movement while projecting polished sophistication.

Each case is a reflection of contemporary design—streamlined, versatile and engineered to complement any traveler’s style. But its true innovation lies not just in appearance, but in the thoughtful features that elevate the travel experience.

One of the most revolutionary aspects of the Adventurer Series is its front side-lid opening design. Unlike traditional clamshell suitcases that sprawl open awkwardly, this system allows one-handed access while keeping belongings secure and organized. Whether navigating a busy airport lounge, retrieving documents in a hotel lobby, or pulling out essentials mid-flight, this design ensures quick, mess-free convenience.

By maximizing packing space within a single expansive compartment, the Adventurer redefines what effortless travel looks like. It’s a solution born from function, delivered in style.

EXPANDABILITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Modern travel demands flexibility, and the Adventurer Series delivers with its expandable central zipper system. Retaining all the core design features travelers love, this discreet innovation provides added capacity exactly when it’s needed most—offering an extra five liters in the 20-inch carry-on, seven liters in the 24-inch checked, and nine liters in the 28-inch checked.

This adaptability means no more tough choices between what to bring and what to leave behind. For frequent fliers, it’s peace of mind knowing the suitcase can evolve with the demands of any itinerary.

EFFORTLESS MOBILITY, NEARLY ANYWHERE

Travelers know that mobility makes or breaks a trip. The Adventurer Series is equipped with dual-spinner wheels featuring precision ball bearings, engineered for smooth, ultra-quiet handling across any terrain. Designed to conquer even Europe’s famed cobblestones, these wheels show less than 2mm of wear after 276,000 rotations—a remarkable feat of engineering. Backed by a lifetime guarantee, they set a new gold standard for durability and glide.

Complementing this performance is the wide, four-stage aluminum trolley handle. Its telescopic, ergonomic design not only improves stability but also provides enhanced control, allowing for effortless maneuvering through airports, train stations and city streets. Together, these details elevate travel from cumbersome to seamless.

A SUSTAINABLE INTERIOR

Inside, the Adventurer Series offers organization with a conscience. The lining is crafted from 100% RPET recycled polyester, made from

repurposed plastic bottles, proving that sustainability and luxury can coexist. The compression packing system ensures items remain neat, secure and ready-to-wear upon arrival, eliminating the dreaded “flopping luggage” syndrome.

Dual compartments, zipper closures and thoughtful detailing streamline the packing and unpacking process. Eco-friendly never looked—or traveled—so good.

STYLISHLY SECURE

Security and reliability are at the forefront of the Adventurer Series. Each case comes equipped with a TSA-approved lock, streamlining airport checks while safeguarding personal belongings. The combination of strong polycarbonate construction, sustainable lining and advanced organizational systems make this luggage not only stylish but reassuringly secure.

And with a lifetime warranty covering functional elements—including the shell, wheels, handles and zippers—travelers can trust that the Adventurer Series is built to last as long as their passport.

A BRAND WITH PURPOSE

Behind the Adventurer Series lies a brand ethos rooted in cultural connection. The company believes travel is more than movement—it’s about living real moments, forging deep connections and building a holistic global community. Their philosophy, “Nothing More, Nothing Less,” speaks to stripping away distractions and delivering essentials that enhance the travel experience.

In a world where travel can often feel like a burden—navigating crowded terminals, long lines and heavy bags—the Adventurer Series aims to restore joy to the journey. As the brand notes: “You have places to go, life to experience and connections to make. We’re here to ease your travels so you can focus on the destination, not just the journey.”

EFFORTLESS ELEGANCE IN MOTION

sustainable materials to

For today’s modern jetsetters, the Adventurer Series represents more than luggage. It’s a fashion-forward travel companion, merging design elegance with practical innovation. From the sustainable materials to the flawless handling, every element speaks to travelers who refuse to choose between style and substance.

Durable yet sleek. Fashionable yet functional. Sustainable yet luxurious. The Adventurer Series is redefining what it means to travel in style— elevating not just the look of your luggage, but the very experience of travel itself.

HIDDEN WHITE:

THE ART OF QUIET LUXURY IN MODERN MINIMALIST FOOTWEAR

In an era of maximalist trends and ostentatious branding, a new name is emerging for those who believe true sophistication whispers. Enter Hidden White, the London-based footwear brand that has been cultivating a discerning following since its debut in 2024. They have just the right amount of personality to stand out without being overly attention-seeking.

More than just shoes, Hidden White offers a philosophy: impact is often found in the unseen, the considered and the intentionally subtle. The brand's foundational belief that white symbolizes the light of a better world is reflected in every stitch, curve and sole. This is a minimalist design with purpose; elegance that contributes to a more thoughtful aesthetic landscape.

THE MORSE CODE CONNECTION

• • • • • - -

Perhaps the most captivating is the brand's use of Morse code as a signature motif—a subtle nod to the initials H (• • • •) and W (• - -). Much like the brand itself, it's a hidden language that speaks

volumes to those who understand. This isn't mere decoration; it's a statement of Hidden White's commitment to deliberate design. Each pair becomes a form of quiet communication, expressing refinement without uttering a word.

But don't mistake subtlety for simplicity. Hidden White's craftsmanship is anything but quiet in terms of quality. The brand uses only the finest full-grain leathers, selected for their ability to age gracefully and mold uniquely to the wearer. The result is footwear that feels as though it was made for you—because, in essence, it was. Engineered for effortless movement and lined with buttery-soft comfort, these are shoes designed not just for style, but for life.

In a market saturated with noise, Hidden White is a pause—a moment of clarity. It's for those who value longevity over trends, subtlety over statement, and soul over surplus. This is footwear for the mindful, the intentional and the elegantly understated.

MAISON DE SABRÉ INTRODUCES THE PALAIS: A NEW ICON EIGHT YEARS IN THE MAKING

The Australian-born leather goods brand was founded in 2017 by siblings Zane and Omar Sabré who have grown the luxury house into a $100 million dollar-a-year business.

Luxury leather house Maison de Sabré unveiled its most ambitious creation yet: The Palais, a signature handbag eight years in the making. Having launched exclusively online at maisondesabre.com, The Palais takes its place as the brand’s most important silhouette to date.

“The Palais is the most significant milestone in our craft language, an icon of the unconventional,” said Co-founder and Creative Director Omar Sabré. “It’s the purest distillation of our brand codes, carrying eight years of discipline, refinement and ambition into one silhouette.”

“I sketched the first version mid-flight from Paris,” said Sabré. “It’s the bag that carries our codes, our history and our ambition, the purest reflection of our DNA.”

Photos courtesy of Maison de Sabré

Luxury, Defined

The Palais blends indulgent materials with precision design, with every curve and seam of The Palais having been considered to the millimetre. From its sculptural teardrop gusset, first carved in wood then reimagined through 3D modeling, to the floating seam flashing a hint of contrast suede, the brand’s first flagship handbag represents a permanent house signature that reinterprets its archives and signals a bold new era in modern luxury.

Sculptural yet buttery soft, The Palais distils nine Maison de Sabré brand codes into one defining form: sculptural rolled handles, adaptive belting for adjustable structure, precision-cut edges and custom hardware for infinite personalisation.

Crafted from 100% Leather Working Group (LWG) Gold-Rated DriTan calf leather, the most luxurious leather Maison de Sabré has used to date, and lined in full-grain sueded leather, The Palais pairs indulgence with responsibility, adopting a zero-waste ethos through upcycled accents and trims.

In a market driven by endless seasonal cycles, The Palais stands for permanence. Built to endure with accompanying attachable charms, eyewear cases and tech accessories, The Palais is an ever-evolving piece that will age beautifully and adapt over time, reimagining longevity for a new generation of modern luxury. The new flagship silhouette serves as a manifestation of Maison de Sabré’s core principals: craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability and accessibility.

Two Signatures, Infinite Possibilities

The Palais debuts in two enduring sizes, designed to move fluidly between work, travel and everyday life. Each piece is lined with a dual-tone contrast interior of natural suede, revealing the depth and richness of the house’s material language.

Large – A bold, structured carryall for work, travel and life. Colors: Pecan Brown, Cashmere Clay, Black Caviar, Emerald Green

Medium – A versatile silhouette designed to move from day to night. Colors: Cashmere Clay, Candy Pink, Plum Red, Emerald Green, Black Caviar, Sandstone Brown, Manhattan Orange

“The Palais is a leather canvas of timelessness, utility, precision and elevation,” added Maison de Sabré. “Even the packaging was engineered to heighten the experience. It arrives upright, so when you lift the lid, it stands poised — more like unveiling a sculpture than unboxing a bag.”

A Customizable Ecosystem

The Palais also launched alongside a suite of attachable accessories, creating a complete personalisation ecosystem that encourages selfexpression and long-term adaptability.

The Petite Palais Charm — A luxury handbag for your handbag. Crafted from supple calf leather and designed to hold an Apple AirTag, AirPods Pro, credit cards and more.

Sabrémoji Garden Bugs — Ladybug, Bumblebee, Snail and Butterfly charms. A nostalgic nod to childhood discovery, each creature is delicately handcrafted from full-grain leather offcuts as a reminder to stay curious and make your mark.

The Sunglasses Sling Case — A dual-tone leather clippable case with detachable, adjustable sling that protects eyewear on-bag or on-person, pairing sleek minimalism with everyday utility.

Bloomingdale’s and Beyond

The Palais made its debut online on September 10, 2025, and will launch in-store exclusively with Bloomingdale’s as part of the brand’s expanding presence within the iconic retailer. Following the U.S. launch with Bloomingdale’s, Maison de Sabré will also be hosting a flagship experience at Miyashita Park, Tokyo, positioned alongside Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Balenciaga; and in October, a three-month residency at Le Bon Marché in Paris, completing a global launch that cements Maison de Sabré’s cultural and commercial momentum.

“The industry loves to romanticise heritage,” said Zane Sabré, cofounder. “But heritage doesn’t guarantee relevance. The Palais proves you don’t need a century of history to create something iconic—you need conviction, execution and a brand people actually believe in.”

John Wilson FireSecret The of American Conscience

The name came first—a whisper across time. John Wilson. My father’s name. A man who, in his own quiet way, defied every fiction America wrote about Blackness. To encounter another John Wilson, this one an artist, was to meet that defiance again—amplified into form, rendered in pigment, charcoal and bronze. His art was not made to soothe; it was made to unmask.

Born in 1922 in Roxbury, Boston, Wilson matured in an era when the world itself was convulsing—its moral fabric stretched between the horrors of fascism abroad and the hypocrisies of segregation at home. The young artist watched as Germany’s racialized exterminations reflected back America’s own cruelties. He picked up his tools not as adornments but as instruments of resistance. Every mark was an incision into the myth of white innocence.

In postwar Mexico, the muralists cracked him open. Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros transformed walls into manifestos of socialism, labor and collective humanity. Fernand Léger’s geometric force gave his figures new muscularity. Yet, while his mentors gazed outward toward revolution, Wilson turned his gaze inward—to the psychic battlefield of race in America. His question was as radical as it was intimate: how does one paint the scream that built this nation?

He answered with The Incident (1948–49). Charcoal and gouache, a mother’s face twisted in horror, an arm raised in vain defense, a white mob just beyond the edge of the frame. Wilson refused the voyeurism of the lynching postcard. He drew instead the unbearable instant of loss—the fracture of humanity itself. It is the American Guernica, a howl rendered with such beauty it is almost unendurable.

To look at Wilson is to understand the essential function of art in the evolution of the human condition.

His figures carry the raw defiance of Goya’s Disasters of War, the fractured power of Picasso’s Guernica, the spiritual gravitas of Rembrandt’s light—but with a force even more startling, because Wilson’s brilliance was never meant to be centered in the American narrative. It had to fight its way there, each work an act of both survival and supremacy.

His mastery was encyclopedic. In copper etching—a discipline so exacting it borders on torment— he reached the precision of Dürer. In lithography, his lines rivaled Käthe Kollwitz, velvety and grave, carved from shadow itself. His sculptures—Eternal Presence and the monumental bronze of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that resides in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda—stand as evidence that divinity can, in fact, resemble Blackness.

Wilson’s greatness lies not only in the work but in its necessity. Without him, the American canon remains an incomplete sentence, a language half-spoken. His art insisted on the dignity of Black existence as central to civilization’s story. It transformed private grief into public conscience.

For decades, this genius was obscured, tucked into footnotes and archives while lesser voices filled the frame. The neglect itself became part of the narrative—a cautionary tale about who gets to define greatness. Yet Wilson, like all true visionaries, could not be erased. His works waited, simmering, until a nation fractured once more was ready to see.

Now, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, John Wilson: Witnessing Humanity unseals that long silence. Over 100 works trace his journey— from the early sketches of Boston street life to the monumental bronzes that proclaim his mastery. To walk through these galleries is to feel the slow heartbeat of history quicken beneath your feet.

The exhibition runs through February 8, 2026, at The Met Fifth Avenue. Go. Stand before The Incident. Let the scream echo in your bones. Leave changed.

SORAYA ABU NABA’A

Recognized at the 31st Biennial of Visual Arts

at the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo

The Gary Nader Art Centre is pleased to announce that multidisciplinary artist Soraya Abu Naba’a has been honored at the 31st Biennial of Visual Arts, held at the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for her installation Palo vivo: Between Roots and Memories.

The work explores the interconnection between community, land and memory through two elements deeply rooted in Caribbean rural life: the palo vivo and the pelliza. Both, born from necessity and everyday use, are transformed into powerful symbols of regeneration, belonging and connection to the environment.

Inspired by deep ecology—a philosophical movement that recognizes the intrinsic value of all living beings—the installation combines materials such as fabric, wood, metal and paint to create an immersive experience. The suspended textile forms evoke an expanded ecosystem in which the boundaries between art, body and nature dissolve, offering poetics of repair and belonging.

“I am deeply grateful to receive this award in recognition of an installation that weaves ancestral traditions with a contemporary aesthetic. This honor celebrates not only my creative journey, but also the wisdom of generations that continue to inspire my practice—and serves as a reminder of the profound interconnectedness of the natural world and all living beings,"said Abu Naba’a regarding this recognition.

Gary Nader, founder and director of the Gary Nader Art Centre, added, “Soraya Abu Naba’a’s work reaffirms the strength of Latin American art as a vehicle of memory, identity and awareness. This well-deserved recognition amplifies an authentic and powerful voice that honors our roots and invites us to reflect on the future.”

With this award, Soraya Abu Naba’a further consolidates her position within the contemporary art landscape and reaffirms the Gary Nader Art Centre’s commitment to supporting artists whose innovative and relevant proposals contribute to the cultural and social dialogue of our region.

Style Across the Aisle

Environmentalist Amy Green, the CEO of the Green Vision, joined her pal oceanographer Sylvia Earle, Harrison Ford, Jane Fonda and Stella McCartney for the NAT Gala, one of Climate Week’s most impactful events. Amy said. “I'm proud to be standing among some of the most powerful protectors of our planet. My passion lies in educating people about what is truly happening in our world—and inspiring action on how we can all make a difference.” It was a busy time for Amy, who lives between Aspen and NYC. She was also seen out and about at top tier fashion week events, including a Ralph Lauren dinner at the Polo Bar, a diamond launch dubbed “The Chopard Ice Cube Party” with the company’s president Caroline Scheufele, and a front row seat at Natalie De-Banco’s Bronx and Banco fashion show. thegreenvision.org

30 elected politicians-turned-models were strutting the runway at Style Across the Aisle. Founded by Skye Ostreicher, the annual fashion show is where local designers dress elected officials from their own communities for a bipartisan, high-impact runway experience. Taking place at the NY County Surrogate’s Court, this year’s nonprofit partner was Witness to Mass Incarceration, dedicated to fostering economic independence for formerly incarcerated, system-impacted and LGBTQ+ individuals. Skye, whose company is called In the Room Media, explained, "Style Across the Aisle is about partnership and collaboration. Putting politics aside to celebrate the human qualities and creativity of New Yorkers. From small businesses to designers to corporations to the very officials who legislate and lead, these are people coming together with a shared goal and vision to collaborate and learn from one another.” Sponsors included Airbnb, Uber, EmblemHealth, Aeon Nexus Corporation, Rethink Food, In The Room Media and Beauty Social Salon. intheroommedia.com

SOCIAL SAFARI

Rita Hayworth, Princess Yasmin Aga Khan & Peter Thomas Roth

Hollywood legend Rita Hayworth, whose co-stars included Cary Grant and Gene Kelly, suffered from younger on-set Alzheimer's and died at 68 in 1987 due to complications associated with disease. Her daughter, Princess Yamin Aga Khan, took care of the star in NYC, and after her mother's diagnosis, she founded a gala in her honor that has raised over 90 million dollars since its inception in 1984. The Princess said that this year’s 41st edition of the Alzheimer’s Association Imagine Benefit, taking place on October 22nd at the Plaza Hotel, will honor her friend, skincare mogul Peter Thomas Roth, for “his commitment to the mission and his impact on raising awareness and funding for care and research.” She added, “Alzheimer’s remains a national crisis, affecting over 7 million Americans, including over 427,000 New Yorkers and places an enormous burden on the more than 11 million caregivers who walk this journey alongside their loved ones.” alz.org

Kimberly Paige Bluhm & Robert Redford

Robert Redford’s co-stars are all mourning the loss of the Hollywood legend. Kimberly Paige Bluhm, who played the “Sundance Kids” star’s wife in “Spy Game,” the classic action thriller filmed in Budapest in 2001, which co-starred Brad Pitt, is among those who are fondly remembering him. “He was kind and generous to everyone on set. He was a real gentleman,” she said. Kimberly, now a philanthropist, has gone on to marry billionaire Neil Bluhm, who was honored this month for his part in building the Bluhm Heart Hospital at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. nm.org

Artistry in Fashion

An orphan from Bordeaux, Olivier Rousteing joined the design team at Balmain in 2009. Just three years later, when he was only 25, he became the revered French fashion house's artistic director. This year, he was honored at the FIT Couture Council's annual luncheon which kicks off fashion week in New York and where he was presented with FIT's Award for Artistry in Fashion. A predictably cool-chic crowd gathered to honor him, (most of them were wearing Balmain) including: jewelry designer Valerie Leles, Sharon Handler Loeb, Audrey Grus, Katherine Gage Boulud, Summers Farkas, Stephano Tonchi and many more whose handsome faces can be viewed below.

GIL WALSH

The Interior Designer To Know in Palm Beach

GIL WALSH INTERIORS

In the heart of Palm Beach, Gil Walsh runs one of the region’s most prestigious interior design firms, Gil Walsh Interiors—a company known for its sophisticated blend of classical training, theatrical sensibility and intuitive client rapport. With a background that spans fashion, set design and architecture, Walsh, who is a registered, licensed interior designer, brings a multidimensional approach to each project—whether it’s a historic waterfront estate, a country club, or a cultural center—infusing every space with a sense of story, structure and soul.

“I started in fashion, then worked in the theater doing set and costume design,” Walsh explained. “Eventually I realized interior design encompassed everything I loved—art, theater, fashion—and that’s where I could build a life.” Her transition into interiors may have begun as a practical choice, but it quickly became her life’s passion. Over the years, she’s established herself as one of the most respected names in luxury design, known for her deep understanding of proportion, architecture and the emotional connection people have with their homes.

That sensibility was forged early. “My mother was an artist, my father was a surgeon—but also very artistic. We grew up in museums, learning how to paint and understand that world,” she recalled. “I became fascinated with furniture—how it’s made, how it fits in a room, what it means emotionally.” Walsh’s professional journey took off in Cleveland, where she worked for a major firm that offered a full-service model—interior designers, carpentry shops, upholstery rooms, even lampshade makers—all under one roof. “I learned all of that in one big warehouse,” she said. “And I went back to night school to understand things like furniture scale, arm height of a sofa, doorway dimensions—everything that fashion doesn’t teach you.”

HANDS-ON LEARNING

After a decade of hands-on learning, Walsh returned to Pennsylvania, where she worked in architectural firms and refined her understanding of how buildings and interiors must work together. “Architecture and interior design have to be married to create the stage set that is our environment. Without good architecture, you don’t have a well-rounded room.”

The Inner Sanctum of The Client.

But what truly separates Gil Walsh Interiors is her approach to the client relationship. “We go through a very specific process. We start by asking for inspiration pictures—because people can’t always articulate what they want with words. But show them an image, and suddenly their memories come flooding out.” Often, Walsh said, it’s not just style preferences that emerge—it’s childhood experiences, personal traumas, deeply emotional cues that shape how a person wants to live. “They remember something from when they were young, something they loved or hated. And that memory drives their vision. That’s when you know you’ve hit the inner sanctum of the client.” Walsh’s work is rooted in that intimacy, but also in deep expertise. “Our niche is the knowledge I’ve brought from the Northeast—my education, my cultural background,” she said. “I’ve lived the life of my clients, I understand how they live. But I’m very happy going in through the service entrance. This is art in three dimensions—and that’s what I love.”

She also credits her firm’s success to its longstanding relationships with highly specialized subcontractors and craftspeople. “The best upholsterers, workrooms, finishers—they came to Florida from the Northeast thinking they’d retire, then decided to keep working. We’ve built trust with them. That’s part of our edge.”

THE ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRITY OF A SPACE

Walsh is known for her deep respect for classical design—but she’s no purist. “I’m working on a classical home right now where we’re incorporating mid-century modern and Art Deco elements. With the right education and understanding of scale and proportion, you can marry these styles beautifully.” Her guiding principle? “In our world, nothing is really new— it’s all a repeat of history.” Still, she has rules. “Something in the red family—coral, orange, pink—should be in every room. That’s just written in gold,” she said. And while trends come and go, her focus remains on proportion, scale and honoring the architectural integrity of a space.

While her firm is best known for high-end residential work, Walsh is increasingly taking on commercial and cultural projects, including hospital interiors, country clubs, golf courses and theater lobbies. “If you think about it, a hospital is just like a country club—if you don’t have beautiful interiors and good food, you’re not going to attract the best doctors or patients.”

RESTORING FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT’S ICONIC FALLINGWATER

One of the most memorable projects of her career came out of nowhere: restoring the interiors of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Fallingwater. “I didn’t even understand Wright’s rhythm at the time—I had to go to the library and do a quick study,” she laughed. “But I took the job. And I’m so glad I did. That experience changed everything. Now, I sit on the board.”

Looking ahead, Walsh sees continued growth for her firm. “We’re equipped to do large-scale homes, specialty commercial spaces and cultural institutions. Palm Beach is expanding rapidly, and there’s a real demand for thoughtful, high-end design.”

Ultimately, Gil Walsh sees herself not just as a designer, but as a storyteller— one who paints homes instead of canvases. “This isn’t about trends. It’s about people. It’s about how they want to live, what makes them feel safe, and what makes them feel joy.” gwifl.com

The Luxury of Seamless Season Ticket Management:

How Winventory Elevates the Live Event Experience

Attending live events—from professional sports games to high-profile concerts—has long been more than just entertainment. For many, it’s a lifestyle, an investment in memorable experiences and a way to connect with friends and family. Yet, for season ticket holders, the reality of managing those seats can sometimes fall short of the excitement of game day. Wasted tickets, complicated resales and outdated systems can turn a prized asset into a logistical headache.

Enter Winventory, a next-generation ticketing app designed to transform the way fans manage, sell and optimize their season tickets.

Launched in 2021, Winventory simplifies the entire season ticket resale experience through a user-friendly platform that centralizes management and optimization. Unlike traditional resale platforms, it specializes in season ticket optimization, distributing inventory across major resale marketplaces and a wide network of additional channels. Real-time pricing updates help users maximize the value of every seat, ensuring no opportunity is missed. Originally built for season ticket holders, Winventory now also supports single-event listings, serving a growing national community of sports and entertainment for fans.

The app itself offers a very user-friendly experience, putting everything fans need at their fingertips. From a centralized dashboard, users can track ticket activity, manage multiple accounts, schedule listings and receive instant alerts on pricing and availability—all in one intuitive interface. By automating the most tedious aspects of ticket resale, Winventory allows fans to focus on the joy of live events rather than the logistics. Flexible, userscheduled payouts and automated order fulfillment make every transaction secure, hassle-free and seamless.

At the heart of Winventory is co-founder and CEO Alex Warner, a lifelong live event enthusiast whose family has maintained a 95-year season ticket tradition. For Warner, attending games has always been more than entertainment—it’s a way to connect, celebrate milestones and create lasting memories. As the ticketing landscape evolved and traditional systems struggled to keep up, Alex envisioned a modern, tech-driven platform designed to preserve that legacy while enhancing flexibility, value and fan control.

Guiding Winventory’s growth alongside Alex is Executive Chair Daniel Silvers, who joined the company in 2024. With decades of board, operational and investment experience—including roles as managing member of Matthews Lane Capital Partners LLC and former board member at Avid Technology, Inc., International Game Technology and bwin.party digital entertainment plc—Silvers brings strategic insight to the company’s expansion. A lifelong Yankees and Rangers fan, as well as a devoted Bruce Springsteen follower with over 125 shows under his belt, Silvers’ personal passion for live events mirrors Winventory’s mission: to elevate every fan experience.

Together, Alex and Daniel combine personal enthusiasm with professional expertise to ensure Winventory meets the highest standards for fan convenience and satisfaction.

Season ticket ownership has become a luxury in itself, akin to a curated collection of fine wines or exclusive travel experiences. Fans expect seamless, transparent, and flexible tools that maximize their investment and enhance enjoyment. Winventory delivers on all fronts, helping ticket holders turn potentially wasted seats into valuable experiences and creating more time to enjoy the events they love. With smart automation, real-time pricing, and a centralized platform, the app embodies modern luxury: effortless, highquality, and highly rewarding.

For fans seeking a smarter, more seamless way to manage their season tickets, Winventory represents the future of live event ownership. By blending technology with tradition, it allows ticket holders to fully embrace the lifestyle, focus on the excitement of live events, and ensure their tickets - and memories - are never lost.

Wynn also jointly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Sports Bureau to officially launch the “Macao Grand Prix Museum x Wynn Chocolate Supercar Exhibition,” where a futuristic Wynn Chocolate Supercar sporting vibrant lines and explosive colors, is on display now through November 16. In a special crossover collaboration that blends artistic gastronomy with urban street art, Wynn's award-winning Master Pastry Artist Bob Tay has teamed up with Swiss artist Saiff Vasarhelyi to create a visually stunning chocolate supercar. Master Tay cleverly used three distinct concentrations of chocolate—70% for depth, 67% for balance and 38% for sweetness—to create a streamlined “supercar canvas” for Saiff to unleash his creativity. Together, the artists spent a combined 300 hours to meticulously handcraft and spray paint the chocolate sports car which spans 2.9 meters and weighs 100 kilograms.
