MJHA Report - Kennedy Manns

Hi, and greetings from the MJHA! This summer has been very busy with Bonanza 2019 being so close to home in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. We had 12 junior members attend this year from Manitoba; some new, and many familiar faces. Grant Roulston took some great pictures from the week! Check them out at grantspix.com. Levi Rimke won Champion Yearling Bull in the Bred & Owned Show as well as Champion Junior Yearling Heifer in the Open Show. Orianna Hyndman won Champion Senior Bull and Champion Hereford Influenced Heifer Calf. Emma Falconer won Reserve Grand Champion Female. Bennett Foster’s team won Senior Team Grooming. There were many Manitoba successes in the photography, art, and speech competitions as well. Congrats to Bobbi Jo Foster for winning the CJHA KGF “Future of the Breed” Scholarship, and to Orianna and Teegan Hyndman for winning Grand Aggregate and Junior Aggregate. All-in-all, Bonanza 2019 was amazing! The weather was perfect, the location was perfect, the food was delicious, and the dance was lots of fun!

Bonanza 2020 is being held in Brandon, Manitoba next year. It takes lots of volunteers and helping hands to have such a big event run smoothly. We are expecting lots of juniors to attend because it is being held in central Canada. If you would like to volunteer, talk to a junior member and we will direct you to someone that will help you find the task that is right for you.
