The 91st Annual Meeting and Banquet of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce was held on Feb. 19 at the Manhattan Conference Center. Our membership came together with nearly 600 guests in attendance for the evening!

2015 Chamber Board Chair, Lucy Williams, celebrated the many successes of the past year and recognized the Chamber’s volunteer leadership; including retiring Board Members: Mark Bachamp, John Broberg, Scott Chapman, Brad Everett, Rod Harms, Terry Harts,

Coffee and networking will begin at 7:15 a.m. followed by a breakfast buffet and three speakers that will share information about local topics of interests to the community. Stay Tuned! Rod Harms received the 2015 C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year award for his outstanding commitment to the Chamber of Commerce and Manhattan community. This award originated in 1990 to express appreciation for the hard work and dedication given by a Chamber of Commerce member.

Lyle Butler, CEO/President of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, signed the proclamation as KBED President. Kristin Brighton, 2016 Chamber Board Chair, and Karen McCulloh, Mayor of Manhattan, signed the proclamation on behalf of the Chamber and city, respectively. Kirk Schulz, Kansas State University president, was no present at the Annual Meeting, and also signed the proclamation.
