The Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) is a career and technical student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high school and colleges around the globe. The Kansas DECA organization is seeking volunteers and professionals to judge its March 2 and 3 state-level competition. Volunteers will be asked for daylong assistance (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the K-State Student Union. If your schedule only allows a smaller portion of time that can be accommodated. The 5th Annual Wildcat Ranch Rodeo is Feb. 7 and 8 at Weber Area. The event includes; double doctoring, mugging, trailer loading and wild cow milking. Be there when they crown the 2020 Miss Rodeo K-State on February 8 at the Weber Arena. This competition begins with a horsemanship test along with interviews, speeches and modeling. The pageant has a rich history with winners dating back as far as 1948. Contestants go on to compete in the Miss Rodeo Kansas competition. Feb. 14 to16 is the Kansas State University Rodeo.
