It’s March and it’s Madness! Welcome 2A Basketball!

It’s natural for Manhattan to have a passion for basketball with the KSU Wildcats playing in the Octagon of Doom. During the second week of March, High School Madness takes over as Manhattan hosts Class 2A High School State Championships for the 26th year.

The 2A tournament has the reputation of being one of the best tournament sites in the state. Over 200 volunteers make this tournament a success. Team hosts, ticket sales, ticket takers, t-shirt sales, program sales, pass gate, ball kids, and hospitality room slots all require

friendly, hospitable and passionate high school basketball fans, willing to help make great memories for schools and fans as they chase the Championship trophy. Sub State Championships are Saturday, March 7th and at the conclusion of substate – we get the nod for the 16 teams we will host. During 2014, we welcomed nearly 12,000 fans to Manhattan, with an estimated impact of $1,000,000.
