The 90th Annual Meeting and Banquet of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce was held on February 20th at the Manhattan Conference Center. Our membership came together to celebrate an anniversary for the Chamber by setting an attendance milestone: Over 600 guests in attendance for the evening!
Chairman of the Board for 2014, Terry Harts, celebrated the many successes of the past year by recognizing the Chamber’s volunteer leadership including retiring Board members: Andrea Grier, Neal Farmer, Patrick Lee, Bruce McMillan, Ward Morgan and Tanna Thompson. This year in addition to the announcement and recognition of our Lud Fiser Citizen of the Year Award and Volunteer Award presentations, a special recognition was made to rename the Volunteer of the Year Award to the C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year Award commemorating the hard work, dedication
Mark Knackendoffel received the 2014 C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year award for his outstanding commitment to the Chamber of Commerce and Manhattan Community. This award originated in 1990 to express appreciation for the hard work and dedication given by a Chamber of Commerce member.
Throughout the evening guests were entertained by videos featuring Chamber Board Members, Committee Chairs and Staff.
Dan Yunk was named the 2014 Lud Fiser Citizen of the Year. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and repeated contributions to the progress of our community over several years.
