Kicker Country Stampede has big impact on MHK economy

Consider that 19 years of Kicker Country Stampede has hosted some mega-stars on the stages at Tuttle Creek State Park. Now consider that after 2015’s event, 3 million visitors will have bounced through Manhattan for four days of classic country music. And while you consider those factoids, think about how many out-of-state visitors fill hotel rooms and restaurants around Manhattan. The benefits are staggering that Country Stampede has meant to the city. Officials estimate that Stampede has an impact on Manhattan of over $10 million. This year’s 20th annual celebration stars CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton from NBC’s “The Voice”. Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Sara Evans and Travis Tritt are more of the headliners for the country music blowout June 25-28 at Tuttle Creek State Park.
