2017 Chamber Leadership
During its December Board meeting, the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors elected James Gordon, Partner at Sink, Gordon and Associates, as the 2017 Chair of the Board. Matt Crocker, President & COO, Steel & Pipe Supply Company was elected to the position of ChairElect. Kristin Brighton, Principle, New Boston Creative Group will now serve as immediate Past Chair; Wayne Sloan, President, BHS Construction was elected Treasurer; and Jackie Hartman, Chief of Staff, Kansas State University, as well as Larie Schoap,Vice President Mortgage Loans/Business Development, ESB Financial will both serve as Vice-Chairs to the Board.

The Manhattan Area Chamber Board of Director three-year appointments will be served by Mark Bachamp, Olsson Associates; Chris Eichman, Midwest Concrete Materials, Inc.; Cheryl Grice, Division of Human Capital Services at Kansas State University; Todd Knight, McCownGordon Construction; Harry Watts, The Kansas Farm Bureau and Gail Urban, Edward Jones. One-year appointments will be served by S. Lee Taylor, Charlson & Wilson Bonded Abstracters, Inc; Neal Farmer, Community First National Bank and Craig Lauppe, Advanced Property Management, Inc.

The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Manhattan Board is honored to announce the 2017 Class of Leadership Manhattan. A welcome reception will be held that evening at the Staley School of Leadership Studies at K-State at 5:30 p.m. for the new class and alumni of Future Manhattan and Leadership Manhattan. A total of five sessions will be culminating in the class graduation scheduled for April 6, 2017 at the Manhattan Country Club.
