During its December Board meeting, the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors elected Lucy Williams, Vice President/Trust Officer, The Trust Company as the 2015 Chair of the Board. During the past three years Lucy has been very active in the Chamber serving on the Chamber Board as well as on the Executive Committee. She has also served as Chair of Leadership Manhattan and Chair of the Chamber Audit Committee.
Kristin Brighton, Principal, New Boston Creative Group, was elected to the position of Chair-Elect. Terry Harts, Regional President, Sunflower Bank, will now serve as immediate past Chair; Jim Gordon, Certified Public Accountant, Sink, Gordon & Associates, was elected

The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Manhattan Board is honored to announce the 2015 Class of Leadership Manhattan. Center at Kansas State University, was appointed to fill the unexpired Board term of Matt Crocker, who was elected to the Executive Committee.

Leaders’ Retreat 2015 On January 16 & 17, 2015, join other regional leaders as we plan for our future economic development opportunities. The Junction City, Manhattan, and Wamego Chambers of Commerce have joined together once again for the annual 2015 Regional Leaders’ Retreat – Economic Development: Regionalism in Practice. Courtney Dunbar, ECcD, EDFP, Economic Development Leader, Olsson Associates, will return to facilitate this year’s event. Courtney is a leader in economic development and has written several community plans focused on developing vital, innovative communities that entice economic growth and redevelopment. Her innovative concepts will lead us in a collaborative effort, enabling us to work together as a region on workforce development, attracting target industries, land-use planning, building trust in
the region, regional transportation access, and building a regional brand/logo.
