A publication of the Manhattan
Convention &
Visitors Bureau
The Convention and Visitors Bureau rolls out new WEBSITE! With as much change as Manhattan has been experiencing, we thought it prudent to dust off a bit and join the facelift. Visit www.visitmanhattanks.org and browse around for yourself to see brand new images, exciting new features and state of the art technology! Main features for the site will include a photo gallery, the option to “submit an event” to the calendar of events page, a blog, and a “book it now” hotel feature. The site will split into two overall sections- Meet and Visit, with corresponding, streamlined menu options. We’ve shaved off unnecessary extras to aide both visitors, and meeting planners.
“We are excited to share this new site with visitors and planners alike! There have been months of careful planning behind every feature and every aspect of the new website and logo. Thank you for the continued support and input that allows us to showcase more effectively Manhattan with others.” – Karen Hibbard, Director, Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Our People, Our Land, Our Images
The newest exhibit from the Flint Hills Discovery Center is now open. View indigenous peoples through the eyes of indigenous photographers. “This is an opportunity for the people of Kansas to gain a better understanding and appreciation for indigenous peoples throughout the world. Our People, Our Land, Our Images is a professionally developed exhibit that celebrates the work of 26 native artists and can help us understand our cultural differences - locally, and globally,” said Jared Bixby, curator of education, FHDC. Three generations of photographers are featured from North and South America, New Zealand, and the Middle East. This exhibit will remain open in the temporary gallery until March 16.
