Kansas Department of Commerce Names Business Appreciation Month Winners
The Kansas Department of Commerce designates June as Business Appreciation Month -- a celebration of Kansas businesses. Since 1995, the Department of Commerce has invited individuals and organizations to nominate businesses that provide jobs and support local communities. Three Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses were recognized this year: Bourbon & Baker was a Merit Award Winner in Retail; Florence Corporation was a Regional Award Winner in Manufacturing; Fox Home Innovations was a Regional Award Winner in Service. The Chamber of Commerce congratulates the nominated businesses and thanks all of our area businesses for their hard work, time and effort. Local businesses create jobs, drive economic growth and provide the goods and services that we often take for granted.
