Three decades in the banking industry and Randy Anderes remains steadfast in wholehearted devotion to build relationships, and he stresses solid communications efforts to reach lofty community standards. Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce is reliant upon business leaders like Anderes to share in the Chamber’s vision for the entire community to succeed through a collective support system.

“The Chamber gives people new to the community opportunities to meet other business owners or business managers in the community,” Anderes said. “That’s one reason the Chamber matters. I do believe the Chamber wants everyone to win in the community. Not just new businesses coming to town but everybody. That’s important.”

Community Bank President at Intrust Bank, Anderes circled back to the Manhattan community around 2001 and has witnessed the region’s economic growth. He’s seen that positive leadership and like-minded positivity have assisted Manhattan’s ability to prosper.

“It’s about connections and it’s about building relationships; hopefully those are good strong relationships that last a long time,” Anderes said. “One of the things I’ve always encouraged is to communicate, communicate, communicate.

“Because there are so many members, I don’t think you can communicate enough. The more you can communicate, the better off you’ll be, even if it sounds repetitive. Communication is really important and its helps build those relationships and partnerships that we talk about. Regional partnerships or community partnerships, the more you communicate, the more you interact, the better chance you’ve got to build those long-term relationships.”

Be part of the community. Be part of the Chamber.
