Rhythm & Brews: on tap for Aug. 6

Don’t miss Grizfolk and SHEL live in Manhattan City Park

Rhythm & Brews Festival in Manhattan’s City Park is a growing event in its third year, with potential to have widespread, regional appeal. Help put Manhattan on the map for another great! Bring friends, tell out-of-town family and friends and spread the word on social media about the Aug. 6 event, City Park!

The microbrew sampling event couples with winners of the homebrew contestto form Hail the Ale- which takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the air-conditioned comfort of the GTM Wefald Center. Tickets are $25 for the sampling, and can be purchased at RhythmandBrewsMHK.org. Microbreweries from around the state attend the “Sip of Kansas”, with a few

wineries for different tastes to sample. The musical talent collected for 2016 Rhythm & Brews include highlyacclaimed groups Grizfolk and SHEL. The Baker Trio opens the free concert at 7 p.m. on the Norvell Band Stage. Check out Grizfolk and SHEL on youTube, and come armed with your own selection of favorites as these groups have compiled some great music early in their respective careers. Food trucks will accompany the music festival, with your Tallgrass favorites served in the beer garden.

Come one, come all, as in just two years, Rhythm & Brews has made big strides to become a thriving Midwest event. The homebrew judging was held July 30, and those award winners will be announced at the sampling event. The festival also includes the eighth annual Brew2Shoe 10K/5K running events.
