Purple Power Play in the Park

The excitement of another pulsating K-State school year is just around the corner. Once September hits, Purple Power Play signals the arrival of students, and K-State football/volleyball seasons aren’t far off. Anticipation builds for the fall semester and bursts forth when the Wildcats hit the field and court for the first time. Students’ return to campus is the main attraction when Purple Power Play hits City Park. This year’s event is Sept. 3-4 in City Park, as events begin at 6 p.m. both days. Vendors fill the park and KSU sports teams take over the park stage for pep rallies. This is a great event for families. If you have an extra vacation day to get into Manhattan a day or two before opening football weekend, this provides you with more time to check out the new restaurants around town. There is no admission for Purple Power Play.
