K-State Fans ... Are You Ready? Football is almost here. It comes from every Wildcat, on every street corner. Manhattan practically breathes it.
Final preparations are underway for Purple Power Play in the Park, the annual season kickoff that celebrates community support for the defending Big 12 Champion Kansas State Wildcats. This twoday event takes place Aug. 28-29 starting at 6pm, in City Park due to construction on Poyntz Ave. Let your hair down with the K-State Classy Cats and Bates Dance Studio performers. Jam out with the Mikey Needleman Band on Wednesday evening—and whether it’s nostalgic or you’re a diehard student fan, rally behind the Wildcats in a community pep rally at 8:00 on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Remember the three Big 12 Championships gathered in 2012 and 2013? “Threemaw” and “Title Town” caused residents to smile uncontrollably and brag to complete strangers.
