Kansas Department of Commerce Names Business Appreciation Month Winners The Kansas Department of Commerce designates June as Business Appreciation Month,a celebration of Kansas businesses and their

contributions to local communities and the state economy. Businesses can be nominated by any individual or organization.

Additionally quality of life issues like crime rates, cultural and recreational opportunities and net migration patterns and the number of highly ranked colleges in an area per our annual college rankings were factors.
