The 88th Annual Meeting and Banquet of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce was held on March 1st at the Manhattan Conference Center. Over 550 guests attended this special event.

Chairman of the Board for 2012, Dan Yunk, celebrated the successes of the past year and recognized the volunteer leadership including these retiring Board members: Jan Miller, Rick Pfeifley, Beth

Tatarko and Fred Willich. The following outgoing Committee Chairs were also acknowledged: Andrea Bryant Gladin, Ross Grynkiewicz, Clay MyersBowman and Casey Culbertson.

Guests were treated to a video production of the Chamber's 2012 accomplishments and a performance by the Manhattan High POPS Choir.

Start your day off with breakfast and some early morning networking. Coffee and networking will begin at 7:15am followed by a breakfast buffet and speakers that will share information about local topics of interests.

The highlight of the evening, as in the past, was the surprise announcement of the 2012 Lud Fiser Citizen of the Year and the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award winners. Recognized for his lead-

ership, vision and dedication to the region, Terry Arthur was named the 2012 Lud Fiser Citizen of the Year. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and repeated contributions to the progress of our community over several years. Jim Gordon received the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award for outstanding commitment to the Chamber of Commerce and Manhattan Community. This award originated in 1990 to express appreciation for the hard work and dedication given by a Chamber of Commerce member.
