“Gangsta Party” was inspired by Tupac and Snoop Dogg’s 1996 record of the same name and the cliques he sees when he travels to promote his music. Mr.H says that the song is a feel-good record that others can relate to. It has a West Coast vibe, production, baseline, and lingo. The song’s lyrics say, “We just want the gangstas in the party/We don’t want the lames and the fakes in the party (at all)/…We don’t want no problems in the party (nooo)/We just want to hang with the b*tches in the party.” “It’s about the gangstas in the party,” said Mr.H. “We don’t want to bang in the party. We just want to rep what we claim in the party.” As Mr.H travels from city to city to push his music, he sees all types of cliques. What’s clear is that everybody wants to go out, listen to good music, have a good time and make it back home at the end of the night. 2
“Every time that I’m in a different city, it’s been someone that’s doing their G Walk in the club,” says Mr.H, owner of Real Reality Records. “You look around and everybody is just vibing and having a good time.” Mr.H Iz BlakkNewz feels that creating these types of tracks and promoting them to DJs, artists, media and others positions him to make connections that will move his music career forward.
“These people are the ones that break hits,” he says. “You’ve got to be able to have the DJ play the record. You got to get the program directors behind your music.” “If you don’t come to these types of events, how will you ever know who these people are–in and out of your city?” Mr.H Iz BlakkNewz added. He’s confident that the audience at the Core DJs Retreat will love the song as much as he does. The record is available on all streaming platforms. The Dallas artist is hopeful that opportunities to open for big acts like Lil Durk, Latto, and Lil Baby are right around the corner for him. “Success is not an option–it’s a must,” says Mr.H. “I do whatever it takes to make it happen.”
