RESTORED HISTORY

Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy from Hororata based Sammy’s Rust n Custom has recently restored a vintage Noddy Train that has a huge amount of sentimental value to him. The Train was originally built for his grandmother by McKay’s Hire in Ferry Road Christchurch in the 1960s, used for attending Santa and Brighton Parades, along with company picnics. Sammy’s grandmother later gifted it to an orphanage in Christchurch. It then bounced around a few circus groups as an attraction/act, and in the 1990s it sat out in a field by the Mcleans Island hill before it disappearedintheearly2000s. Sammy managed to locate it in Greta Valley in May 2022, complete with the carriage. He started to restore the Train on December 28th2022,finishingit twenty five days later in time for Muscle Car Madness, with help from friends and family.
