MALVERN RIFLE CLUB

Last weekend, a small group of Malvern Shooters competed in the Southland Championships held in Oamaru as the Invercargill range was unavailable. Chris Kershaw Chris Kershaw Chris Kershaw Chris Kershaw was the overall Target Rifle Champion (and Veteran Champion), winning the A Grade by one point from Daniel Daniel Daniel Alexander Alexander Alexander. Barry Brown Brown Brown was the C Grade Champion, and Geoff Smith Geoff Smith wastheFTR-Classic Champion. Malvern won the teams Championship with a team consisting of Chris, Daniel, BarryandGeoff.

Shooting resumed at the Malvern Range on February 11th with the sixth round of the Malvern Rifle Club Champs Longs (10counting shots at 800 and900yards).

A fine day greeted shooters, it was not too hot, and there appeared to be light winds. As shooting began, the wind soon showed to be more fickle and tricky than it had first appeared. With direction and strength changes that were hard to see andread(formost).
