SUMMER IN SELWYN

Selwyn residents had a fabulous time with the Council’s Summer in Selwyn activities in Greendale andHororatalastweek.

A big turnout saw a crowd of eighty enjoying the Jack Black Jack Black Jack Black cult classic ‘School of Rock’ at the Greendale Outdoor Movie last Friday, with local volunteers organising a great family picnic beforehand. The Yum Yum real fruit ice cream truck was a popular addition for dessert as the crowd enjoyed a snack and settled in. The weather held off, which allowed everyone to enjoy alovelyevening.

Last Saturday, was another bright, sunny day as an enthusiastic group of about forty came out for the Hororata Picnic in the Park.Greatfunwashad fun kite flying, plus Sammy’s Noddy Train and real fruit ice cream from The Fat Cow were particularly popular additions to the day, along with a free sausage sizzle. After a few hours in the sun, everyone left with smiles.
