Concrete Garden is a line of fine outdoor furniture made of natural fiber cement. As a material fiber cement is light, durable, and weather resistant, and poses no risk to health nor the environment.

Just as compelling is the idea that furniture doesn’t have to be moved inside with a change in the weather nor the season. And all products are made of natural raw materials locally sourced from the surrounding region. And this is a kind of nature – and natural sources like cement, limestone, water, and air – that future generations can rely on.

It’s also 100% recyclable, with a service life of at least 60 years, which means it produces both a small ecological and economic footprint.

The cat house is simply a smaller version of the larger dog house. The cellulose fibers in the thin (8 mm) fiber cement panels prevent the house from excessive cooling in the winter and from overheating in the summer, and can be used year-round.

Then there are the lamps, big and small. The Big Lamp is designed to be maximally multifunctional. It can be used as a pot for bigger plants with a cover for water retention, while it can also be used as a tea table inside or out in the garden, or as a handy storage container, even a chair.

The Small Lamp is something of an homage to corrugated roofing, for which fiber cement was initially developed. On the local anecdotal level, its shape also resembles the country’s most popular cake, potica. As is the lamp is meant for indoor use, and works equally well in the dining room, the hall, or in a shop or similar.

Fiber cement concrete furniture might well be the ultimate expression, ironically, of sustainable flexibility and multi-functionality – though heavy, perhaps, on 3-D printing schemes. All of which are coming to assume increasingly important roles as we turn to nature, simplicity and adaptability to get us through.
