As everyday life seems to get more complicated and complex day by day, people are looking increasingly to natural, intuitive products and related processes. Trying times call for solutions that are simple, sensible, and bring a sense of satisfaction that comes with doing something good for oneself. Similarly, looking ahead, personal health and hygiene assume greater importance and evolve from random considerations to required practices.

Getting straight to the point, our daily excretion / evacuation practices are not part of the solution – they’re part of the problem. Because Western civilisation invented the modern toilet in part as a source of luxurious, refined relaxation. But the slouched seated position is far from ideal, is in fact unhealthy, when it comes to ridding ourselves of unwanted waste. Things get squeezed and all bound up, so things don’t proceed as smoothly or efficiently as they should – or could, if instead we assumed the proper squatting position with the help of the Soothing Stool.

Because poor protocol leads to complications far beyond immediate discomfort and inconvenience. But the Soothing Stool helps by raising the feet well off the ground, transforming our poor posture into a healthy and streamlined squat.

The stool consists of four parts, and is easy to assemble, store and distribute. It’s made of beech wood (Fagus sylvatica), which has natural antibacterial properties, measures a compact 9 x 25 x 45 cm, and is treated with linseed oil, beeswax and a synthetic oil.

This is no time to ignore some basic truths, add potential worries to your to-angst-about list, nor find yourself in an unnecessary bind. Stay healthy.
