Work as we know it – in a fixed, closed working environment – is obsolete. Or not. Either way, in the future working environments will not be limited to standard offices – not by any stretch of the imagination – but will be flexible and diverse.
Such a flexible workplace will allow, indeed require you to work in different locations and on different occasions. In this spirit of the times Donar introduces a multifunctional backpack designed by Primoz Jeza Studio that is also a folding chair that can be easily assembled for use both indoors and out.
Mobility and real portability are ensured by a lightweight shell made of scrap felt (70% of which from recycled PET bottles) and two folding plywood elements to ensure the chair has sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Nico Less folds simply and easily into a functional backpack that has enough space to accommodate the needs of a mobile office, and at the same time allows for an easy switch to a comfortable chair. The design well takes into account the concept of circular economy with the use of recycled felt as well as the 100% recyclability of the shell itself.
The wood is FSC (traceability) certified according to sustainability guidelines and is the only material out there that is both renewable and has the capacity to store CO2. Future development of the unique design and accessories (various metal frames) will allow for an easy upgrade of the product to a fixed or fixed swivel chair. After all, disruptions and upheavals still call for a little swivel-room.
