Founded in 2019 by HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Stand Speak Rise Up! works to combat sexual violence against women and girls in fragile environments such as war zones. In 2020, Luxair showcased its mission with a special livery on the De Havilland Q400.

Since taking the throne on 7 October 2000, Grand Duke Henri has guided Luxembourg through a period of evolution and consolidation. As head of state, he embodies a deep sense of duty, service and commitment to the common good, while his wife, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, has devoted herself to social welfare, notably through the creation of charitable associations. Together, they have modernised the monarchy, making it more approachable, inclusive and human. Their bond with the people – including those living across the border – rests on benevolence and empathy, embracing all generations but focusing particularly on the young. Their partnership reflects a shared ambition: to safeguard peace, tolerance and cohesion, and to strengthen the well-being of society as a whole, never forgetting the most vulnerable. In a Luxembourg that is proudly multicultural, where Luxembourgish, German and French stand alongside many other languages, it is a mission that carries particular resonance.
The Grand Duke plays an essential role in Luxembourg’s public and institutional life. Together with the wider Grand Ducal family, he fosters national unity, supports democratic institutions and represents Luxembourg overseas. The Grand Duchess is a constant presence at his side, and together, they uphold the state and its constitution through ceremonial and diplomatic duties, while remaining attentive to the needs of the public and the government. Their commitment also extends to humanitarian, cultural and social initiatives, strengthening bonds across the Grand Duchy. Beyond his constitutional responsibilities, Grand Duke Henri is deeply engaged with environmental issues, sport and the
Olympic movement, while the Grand Duchess is a leading advocate for women’s rights, at home and abroad.
Over the past 25 years, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess have brought a fresh dimension to Luxembourg’s monarchy, subtly renewing its image while safeguarding its traditions. They have deepened the country’s sense of unity by remaining close to the people, as demonstrated during the 2020 pandemic.
Their social commitment, evident in their strong involvement with humanitarian and community work, as well as their support for people with disabilities, has led them to establish their own charitable foundation and provide numerous patronages. On the international stage, they have successfully represented Luxembourg, reinforcing its diplomatic standing and affirming its role at the heart of the European Union.
They have also championed culture, education and the environment, inspiring wider engagement with sustainable projects. Through their ability to evolve with the times while remaining true to their values, they have enhanced the monarchy’s prestige abroad and bolstered national pride at home.
The entire Grand Ducal Family gathered to celebrate the silver jubilee of HRH Grand Duke Henri at a concert given by Dee Dee Bridgewater and the Luxembourg National Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Gast Waltzing.

Depuis ses débuts le 7 octobre 2000, le règne du Grand-Duc Henri s’inscrit dans une période d’évolution et de consolidation. Le Chef d’État incarne le sens du devoir, du service et de l’engagement pour le bien commun. Avec son épouse, la Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa qui a choisi d’œuvrer dans l’aide sociale, notamment par la fondation d’associations caritatives, ils ont modernisé la monarchie, la rendant plus proche et solidaire, tout en reflétant une grande humanité. Leur lien avec le peuple, y compris les transfrontaliers, basé sur la bienveillance, apporte écoute et soutien à toutes les générations en insistant sur la jeunesse.
Leur collaboration traduit une aspiration commune : préserver la paix, la tolérance et la cohésion pour augmenter le bien-être général, sans oublier les plus défavorisés au sein d’un pays multiculturel où le luxembourgeois, l’allemand et le français sont les trois langues officielles et en côtoient beaucoup d’autres.
Le rôle du Grand-Duc
Le Grand-Duc joue un rôle essentiel dans la vie publique et institutionnelle du pays. Ensemble, avec tous les membres de la famille, ils représentent l’unité nationale, défendent l’image de la principauté et
soutiennent les institutions démocratiques. Il y associe en permanence la GrandeDuchesse. Son rôle est de représenter l’unité nationale, de promouvoir l’image de la principauté à l’étranger. Dans le respect de la Constitution, ils assurent la continuité de l’État en assumant des fonctions cérémoniales et diplomatiques, tout en restant à l’écoute des citoyens et des autorités.
Leur engagement inclut également des actions humanitaires, culturelles et sociales, renforçant ainsi la solidarité et la proximité au Grand-Duché. Au-delà de ses missions constitutionnelles, le Grand-Duc Henri est passionné par les questions de respect de l’environnement, du sport et de l’olympisme ; la Grande-Duchesse est nationalement et internationalement engagée dans la lutte pour les droits des femmes.
Un règne de modernité et de tradition
Pendant ces 25 ans de règne, le Grand-Duc et la Grande-Duchesse ont su moderniser
l’image de la monarchie luxembourgeoise tout en préservant ses traditions. Ils ont renforcé la cohésion sociale en étant proches du peuple, comme par exemple lors de la crise sanitaire en 2020.
Leur engagement social s’est illustré notamment par leur forte implication dans des causes humanitaires et sociales et aux côtés de personnes en situation de handicap, via leur fondation et leurs nombreux hauts patronages. Sur le plan international, ils ont représenté le Luxembourg avec succès, en renforçant sa position diplomatique et en affirmant son engagement au sein de l’Union européenne.
Ils ont également soutenu la culture, l’éducation et l’environnement, tout en mobilisant la société autour de projets durables. Leur capacité à évoluer avec leur temps tout en restant fidèles à leurs valeurs a permis de renforcer le prestige de la monarchie à l’étranger et la fierté nationale.

After 25 years, Grand Duke Henri is relinquishing the throne in favour of his son, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume. Over the years, Grand Duke Henri has been committed to representing the country on the international stage, enhancing the prestige of the Grand Duchy’s within the European Union and beyond.
But with his departure, a new chapter begins. At 42, Guillaume prepares to assume his father’s role through a seamless transition – a symbol of dynastic continuity attuned to the demands of the modern world.
Un règne empreint de proximité et de sobriété s’achève pour celui qui a guidé le Luxembourg pendant un quart de siècle. Le GrandDuc Henri quitte ses fonctions ce 3 octobre, laissant son trône au Grand-Duc héritier Guillaume. Au fil des ans, le Grand-Duc Henri s’est attaché à représenter le pays sur la scène internationale, mettant en valeur le rayonnement du Grand-Duché au sein de l’Union européenne et au-delà.

In Luxembourg, the Trounwiessel – which literally translates as ‘throne change’ –refers to the solemn transfer of power from the reigning sovereign to their successor. The ceremony has been part of the Grand Ducal Family’s history since the House of Nassau-Weilburg first held the throne in 1890. It serves to mark the transition between the reign of each Grand Duke and Grand Duchess from Adolphe to Guillaume IV, Marie-Adélaïde, Charlotte, Jean, Henri, and soon Guillaume. Within the framework of a modern constitutional monarchy, the Grand Duke embodies the continuity of the state and national unity.
Grand Duke Henri acceded to the throne on 7 October 2000, when he swore his oath before the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of the Queen of the Netherlands and the King and Queen of the Belgium, declaring: “I swear to observe the Constitution and the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, to maintain national independence and territorial integrity, as well as public and individual freedoms.”
Au Luxembourg, le « Trounwiessel » désigne l’accession au trône : la passation solennelle entre le souverain et son successeur. Cette cérémonie s’inscrit dans l’histoire de la famille grand-ducale, issue de la Maison de Nassau-Weilbourg, au pouvoir depuis 1890 : Adolphe, Guillaume IV, les GrandesDuchesses Marie-Adélaïde et Charlotte, puis Jean, Henri et bientôt Guillaume. Dans le cadre d’une monarchie constitutionnelle moderne, le Grand-Duc incarne la continuité de l’État et l’unité nationale.
L’accession au trône du Grand-Duc Henri a eu lieu le 7 octobre 2000. il a alors prêté serment devant la Chambre des députés, en présence de la Reine des Pays-Bas et du Roi et de la Reine belges. « Je jure d’observer la Constitution et les lois du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, de maintenir l’indépendance nationale et l’intégrité du territoire, ainsi que les libertés publiques et individuelles », avait-il prononcé.

The Congress of Vienna
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was established as an independent state in 1815. It was granted to King of the Netherlands in Article 67 of the Final Act of the Congress of Vienna as compensation for territories the Dutch had ceded to Prussia. The grant was a personal one, “to be held by him and his successors in perpetuity, in full ownership and sovereignty.” This meant that the Grand Duchy belonged to William himself, and in accordance with the Nassau Family Pact of 1783, succession to it became a hereditary right of the House of Nassau.
Le Congrès de Vienne
Le Congrès de Vienne crée en 1815 le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, État indépendant attribué à titre personnel au Roi des Pays-Bas, Guillaume Ier d’Orange-Nassau, en compensation de territoires cédés à la Prusse, « pour être possédé à perpétuité par lui et ses successeurs en toute propriété et souveraineté » (article 67 de l’Acte final du Congrès de Vienne). Conformément au pacte de famille de 1783, les droits sont héréditaires dans la Maison de Nassau.
The Constitution of 1848
Influenced by the revolutionary upheavals in France, Luxembourg adopted a new constitution in 1848. It established a constitutional monarchy, limiting the prerogatives of the King-Grand Duke to those explicitly conferred by the constitution, while vesting legislative power in parliament. Article 3 stated that “the constitutional powers of the King-Grand Duke are hereditary in the family of His Majesty William II, Frederick George Louis, Prince of Orange-Nassau, King of the Netherlands, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, in accordance with the Nassau Family Pact of 30 June 1783 and Article 71 of the Treaty of Vienna of 9 June 1815.”
La Constitution de 1848
Dans le contexte des mouvements révolutionnaires qui secouent la France, une nouvelle Constitution est adoptée au Luxembourg en 1848. Elle instaure une monarchie constitutionnelle, limitant les prérogatives du Roi Grand-Duc aux seuls pouvoirs que lui confère la Constitution, tandis que le pouvoir législatif est désormais exercé par le Parlement. Luxembourg’s independence
In the wake of the Belgian Revolution of 1830, an international conference recognised Belgium’s independence and proposed the partition of Luxembourg. In 1839, King William I finally signed the treaty that confirmed this division — and with it, the independence of the Grand Duchy. Nearly half of Luxembourg’s territory was ceded to the newly created Belgian state. At the same time, Luxembourg’s personal union with the Netherlands was reaffirmed, along with its membership of the German Confederation.
À la suite des événements révolutionnaires belges de 1830, une conférence internationale reconnaît l’indépendance de la Belgique et propose la partition du Luxembourg. En 1839, Guillaume Ier finit par signer le traité sanctionnant ce partage, mais aussi l’indépendance du Grand-Duché, qui cède près de la moitié de son territoire à la Belgique nouvellement créée. L’union personnelle avec les Pays-Bas est confirmée ainsi que l’appartenance du Luxembourg à la Confédération germanique.
The advent of the House of Nassau-Weilburg
In April 1889, King-Grand Duke William III fell gravely ill. On 6 November, Adolphe took the oath as Luxembourg’s regent before the Chamber of Deputies. Barely three weeks later, on 23 November, William III died at Het Loo Palace near The Hague. The regency thus became a succession. On 9 December 1890, in the Chamber of Deputies, Adolphe was sworn in, opening a new chapter in the country’s history: that of a national dynasty, independent of the Dutch throne.

En avril 1889, le roi grand-duc Guillaume III tombe gravement malade. La régence est confiée à Adolphe de Nassau qui, le 6 novembre, prête serment devant la Chambre des députés. À peine trois semaines plus tard, le 23 novembre 1890, Guillaume III s’éteint au palais Het Loo près de La Haye. La régence devient ainsi une succession. La cérémonie se déroule le 9 décembre 1890 à l’Hôtel de la Chambre, ouvrant un nouveau chapitre dans l’histoire du pays : celui d’une dynastie nationale, indépendante du trône des Pays-Bas.
The Luxembourg monarchy emerged from the Second World War strengthened by the leadership of Grand Duchess Charlotte, coordinated from London, and by the service of her son, Hereditary Grand Duke Jean, known as the “soldier prince.” On 10 September 1944, he took part in the liberation of Luxembourg, and the following April travelled back to the country to witness his mother’s triumphant homecoming. On 12 November 1964, Grand Duke Jean succeeded his mother, beginning a reign that would last 36 years. Historians regard his rule as one of the most prosperous periods Luxembourg has ever known. The one-time soldier prince abdicated in 2000 in favour of his son, Grand Duke Henri, and died on 23 April 2019. The government declared ten days of national mourning.
La monarchie luxembourgeoise sort renforcée de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, notamment par l’action de la Grande-Duchesse Charlotte depuis Londres et par le rôle actif du « Prince soldat », le Grand-Duc héritier Jean, qui a participé, le 10 septembre 1944, à la libération du GrandDuché. Le 14 avril 1945, le Grand-Duc héritier revient à Luxembourg pour assister au retour triomphal de sa mère. Le 12 novembre 1964, il succède à la Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. Son règne durera 36 ans. In the aftermath of the First World War, Luxembourg faced political unrest and calls for annexation that threatened the country’s independence. Against this backdrop, the position of Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde weakened — particularly when the Allied powers criticised her wartime stance as being too favourable to Germany. On 14 January 1919 she signed her abdication, and her sister Charlotte succeeded her as Grand Duchess.

Face à ces incertitudes, la position de la Grande-Duchesse Marie-Adélaïde est affaiblie, surtout lorsque les gouvernements alliés reprochent à la souveraine son attitude jugée pro-allemande durant la guerre. Marie-Adélaïde signe son abdication et sa sœur Charlotte lui succède en tant que Grande-Duchesse le 14 janvier 1919.
Guillaume, the eldest son of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, was born on 11 November 1981 in Luxembourg –a Wednesday, Mercury’s day. Astrologers associates such a birth with “a quick, responsive mind, strong intuition and natural communication skills.”
The heir apparent completed his schooling in Luxembourg before continuing his studies in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the University of Angers, where he earned a double degree in literature and political science. His military training at Sandhurst and later at the Royal College of Defence Studies in London was complemented by internships with European institutions and companies both large and small in Luxembourg, Germany and Spain.
Since 2001, in his role as Hereditary Grand Duke, Guillaume has chaired the Luxembourg Economic Development Committee, leading more than 70 trade missions abroad and helping to open doors
for the country’s businesses. Alongside this economic mission, he has remained deeply committed to social causes. Since 2000, he has presided over the board of the Kräizbierg Foundation, which supports people living with disabilities. He is also closely involved with the Scout movement in Luxembourg and beyond, and is a recipient of the Bronze Wolf Award. He speaks five languages.
Guillaume enjoys music – he sings and plays the guitar – and is a keen sportsman, with a passion for tennis, sailing, skiing –even boxing. And above all, of course, he loves his wife and children. Though their temperaments differ, he and Stéphanie are united by their shared values: family, music, a love of languages, scouting and a common history. Their wedding took place in Luxembourg Cathedral on 12 October 2012, where the Scouting movement’s Chant de la Promesse was sung: “Je veux t’aimer sans cesse, de plus en plus…” [“I want to love you endlessly, more and more…”].
Guillaume est né le 11 novembre 1981 à Luxembourg. C’était un mercredi, jour de Mercure : selon l’astrologie, « esprit vif et réactif, avec un sens intuitif expressif. Communicateur inné ». Il est le fils aîné du Grand-Duc Henri et de la Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa. Il fait ses études au Luxembourg avant de rejoindre la Suisse, le Royaume-Uni puis l’Université d’Angers pour une double licence en Lettres et Sciences Politiques. À la formation militaire à Sandhurst puis au Royal College of Defence Studies à Londres s’ajoutent de nombreux stages dans les institutions européennes et dans des petites et grandes entreprises, au Luxembourg, en Allemagne et en Espagne.
Prince héritier, il préside depuis 2001 le Comité de Développement Économique Luxembourg. Il conduit plus de 70 missions économiques à l’étranger où sa présence ouvre les portes pour les entreprises grand-ducales. Ces engagements ne l’écartent pas du monde social. Dès 2000, il a longtemps présidé le Conseil d’administration de la Fondation Kräizbierg qui œuvre en faveur des personnes handicapées. Et il est très impliqué dans le mouvement scout à Luxembourg et à l’international : il est récipiendaire du Bronze Wolf. Il parle cinq langues.
Il aime la musique, le chant, la guitare et, sportif, le tennis, la voile, le ski et… la boxe. Et évidemment, par-dessus tout son épouse et ses enfants. Guillaume et Stéphanie ont des tempéraments différents. Les unissent les valeurs de la famille, de la musique, du multilinguisme, du scoutisme, une histoire commune. Dans la Cathédrale de Luxembourg, le 12 octobre 2012, ils se sont mariés avec le chant de la promesse scoute : « Je veux t’aimer sans cesse, de plus en plus… »
Stéphanie was born on 18 February 1984 – a Saturday, Saturn’s day. According to astrologers this suggests “a determined, hardworking and disciplined personality, that’s sometimes reserved, but which is steadfastly grounded with a strong sense of duty.” Whether the Grand Duchess believes in such predictions is unknown, but those who know her say the description fits her well.
Stéphanie is the eighth and youngest child of the de Lannoy family of Anvaing, in Belgium’s Hainaut province. The family she built with Prince Guillaume, whom she married on 20 October 2012, is her anchor, which has only strengthened with the arrival of their two sons, Princes Charles and François, whom they are raising together. The vagaries of life have also guided her commitments, in fields ranging from healthcare at the start and end of life to culture, music and traditional crafts. None of these passions are new: she holds a degree in Germanic languages and literature (UC Louvain and Humboldt, Berlin), spent a year in Moscow focusing on literature and violin, and another in London studying art history. She speaks five languages.
In their family life, the Grand Ducal couple radiate joy, simplicity and a strong sense of togetherness – qualities they also bring to their public duties. The Grand Duchess devotes herself to social causes and takes a keen interest in advances in medical science. She is also deeply engaged in the arts. Concerned about the loss of traditional crafts, she and Guillaume co-founded the association De Mains de Maîtres Luxembourg, created to safeguard artisanal skills and encourage young people to carry them forwards.

C’était un samedi, jour de Saturne : selon l’astrologie, « une personnalité déterminée, travailleuse, disciplinée et parfois réservée, mais aussi une grande stabilité et un sens du devoir ». Pas sûr que la Princesse y croie mais, pour ceux qui la connaissent, la description colle assez bien. Elle est le huitième et dernier enfant de la famille de Lannoy sise à Anvaing, dans le Hainaut belge. La famille qu’elle a fondée, le 20 octobre 2012 avec le Prince Guillaume, est la base de sa stabilité, renforcée par l’arrivée de leurs deux fils, les Princes Charles et François, dont ils veillent ensemble à l’éducation. Les aléas de la vie ont aussi déterminé ses engagements : la santé en début et en fin de vie, la culture, la musique, l’artisanat. Ceux-là ne datent pas d’hier puisqu’elle est licenciée en philologie germanique (UCLouvain et Humboldt Berlin) et qu’elle a séjourné une année à Moscou pour étudier les lettres et le violon, et une année à Londres pour l’histoire de l’art. Elle parle cinq langues. Avec Guillaume, elle forme un couple qui vit ses rôles parentaux et officiels avec joie, simplicité et complicité. La Princesse s’investit dans des oeuvres sociales et s’intéresse aux avancées de la science dans le domaine de la santé. Et elle s’implique dans tous les domaines de l’art. Préoccupée par la perte du savoir-faire artisanal, elle crée, avec Guillaume, l’association « De Mains de Maîtres Luxembourg » : pour assurer la transmission des savoir-faire et motiver les jeunes à oser l’aventure.
Charles was born on 10 May 2020, a Sunday, and François on 27 March 2023, a Monday — both at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg, like their father before them. Astrology says those born on a Sunday are “creative, confident, optimistic and charitable,” while Monday births promise “sensitivity, empathy, intuition and imagination.” Time will tell whether these forecasts hold true, but for now their parents ensure they enjoy as normal a childhood as possible, shielding them from excessive publicity and official engagements.

— inaugurating the École Prince Charles in Steinsel and planting commemorative trees at Dräi Eechelen and in Oetrange — but the brothers’ outings are usually more light-hearted, and suited to their age: the agricultural fair in Ettelbrück, a visit to a teaching farm in Rollingen, a creative workshop at the Kräizbierg, the opening of the Schueberfouer fair, or a day out with their grandparents and cousins at the Monde merveilleux.
In birthday portraits and Christmas cards, the two brothers appear inseparable. Charles already takes his role as the elder to heart, while their shared laughter rings through Fischbach Castle. And what could be more inspiring than the laughter of children?

On relira ces prévisions dans une vingtaine d’années. Aujourd’hui, les parents leurs assurent une vie la plus normale possible, les préservent de sorties officielles et de toute médiatisation excessive.
Charles, avec ses parents, a bien inauguré la « Schoul Prënz Charles » (École Prince Charles) à Steinsel ou planté un arbre commémoratif au « Dräi Eechelen » à Oetrange mais les sorties des deux frères sont habituellement moins officielles et plus festives et de leur âge : la foire agricole à Ettelbruck, la visite d’une ferme éducative à Rollingen, un atelier créatif au Kräizbierg, l’inauguration de la « Schueberfouer » ou une sortie avec les grands-parents et les cousins au « Monde merveilleux ».
Dans les photos d’anniversaire et les cartes de Noël, les deux frères apparaissent très complices, Charles assumant déjà son rôle de grand frère, et les rires des deux enfants retentissent dans le château de Fischbach. Qu’y a-t-il de plus motivant que le rire des enfants ?

Magnificent celebrations on an unprecedented scale await the people of Luxembourg on 4 October as the nation marks the Trounwiessel – the Accession to the throne. The festivities’ chief coordinator, Laurent Loschetter, CEO of Den Atelier, offers us a glimpse behind the curtain.

At the behest of His Royal Highness Prince Guillaume, the organisation of events has been entrusted to Den Atelier, the capital’s famous concert hall. For its director, Laurent Loschetter, the festivities are the culmination of a titanic undertaking – one that has demanded both vision and stamina.
Over the course of the day, His Royal Highness is scheduled to make five stops. The first is in Grevenmacher, where sport takes centre stage as Prince Guillaume meets 100 young athletes and the volunteers who assist them. His second stop, in Steinfort, includes a visit to the Intercommunal Hospital to speak with healthcare staff and patients. He then travels on to Wiltz for a performance by the Pueri Cantores choir – a poignant moment for the Grand Duke, who was a member of the ensemble as a child. The programme then moves to Dudelange, with his entourage attending a choreographic performance reflecting on the transformations of society. Finally, the day culminates in the capital, with Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie leading a dignified procession across the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge from Kirchberg. “The entry into the city will without doubt be the most spectacular moment” promises Loschetter.
The day will draw to a close with a concert showcasing leading Luxembourg artists and, for the first time in the country, a drone show. Giant screens will broadcast the events live in Wiltz, Dudelange and Luxembourg City, while activities will fill the streets from early afternoon. Altogether it will be an exceptional, unmissable celebration.

Une mise en place que S.A.R. le Prince Guillaume a souhaité confier aux équipes de Den Atelier, la célèbre salle de concert de la capitale. Son directeur, Laurent Loschetter, se réjouit de voir l’aboutissement d’un travail titanesque.
Ainsi, Son Altesse Royale marquera 5 arrêts durant la journée. Un premier à Grevenmacher, visant à souligner l’intégration par le sport. S.A.R. Guillaume y rencontrera 100 enfants sportifs, ainsi que des bénévoles. Un deuxième à Steinfort, où S.A.R. Guillaume ira à la rencontre du personnel soignant et des patients de son Hôpital Intercommunal. Puis une visite à Wiltz, « La Chorale Pueri Cantores chantera pour l’occasion » souligne Laurent Loschetter, « Le Grand-Duc en a fait partie durant son enfance ». Direction ensuite Dudelange avec un spectacle chorégraphique sur les évolutions de la société. Son Altesse Royale rejoindra enfin la capitale pour une marche solennelle avec la GrandeDuchesse Stéphanie sur le pont GrandeDuchesse Charlotte depuis Kirchberg. « L’entrée en ville sera sans aucun doute le moment le plus spectaculaire ». Les festivités se clôtureront par un grand concert d’artistes luxembourgeois renommés et un drone show, une première nationale. À Wiltz, Dudelange ou Luxembourg-Ville, des écrans géants retransmettront en direct les événements. De nombreuses activités sont également prévues dans les trois localités dès le début de l’aprèsmidi. Une fête exceptionnelle à ne surtout pas manquer.

This is the new monogram of the future Grand Duke Guillaume, which will be formally adopted on 3 October when he accedes to the throne. The design, interlacing two mirrored ‘G’s surmounted by a crown, will appear on the uniforms of the Army, Police, Prison Administration, Customs and Excise, and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), and will serve as the official symbol of the future Grand Duke. The monogram was created by Luxembourg graphic designer Yolande Kaiser.

Formellement utilisé à partir de l’avènement au trône le 3 octobre, le monogramme avec deux lettres « G » symétriques en miroir et surmontées d’une couronne, figurera sur les uniformes de l’Armée, de la Police, de l’Administration pénitentiaire, des Douanes et Accises et du CGDIS et servira de symbole officiel du futur Grand-Duc. On 4 October, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume will begin his first day as sovereign. He will use this occasion to honour the people of the Grand Duchy – their diversity, their expertise, their achievements, and the richness of their cultural and community life.
