W H AT DOES TH I S SHOE HAV E TO DO WI TH FUEL EFFICIENCY? When you look at designer footwear you can’t help but wonder how such a minimalist structure can hold the weight of a human. It’s with this in mind that Mazda went about building its cars using innovative SKYACTIV technologies. Incredibly, our new-generation vehicles are 8% lighter than their predecessors yet 30% more rigid thanks to extensive use of high tech plastics, aluminium and high-tensile lightweight steel. As a result, all Mazda vehicles* carry a 5-star crash-safety rating but still deliver a driving experience that is responsive, agile and with increased fuel efficiency. It’s another great example of what happens when imagination drives us.
