For Those in Peril Paul Wright / UK 2013 / 92 min / (18) Contains one gory scene and very strong language Aaron, a young misfit in a remote Scottish community, is the lone survivor of a strange fishing accident that claimed the lives of five men, including his older brother. Spurred on by sea-going folklore and local superstition, the village blames him for this tragedy, making him an outcast amongst his own people. Steadfastly refusing to believe his brother is dead, and possessed by grief, madness and magic, Aaron sets out to recover him.

Through the eyes of Daniel Domscheit-Berg, an early supporter and eventual colleague of Julian Assange, the story follows the heady, early days of Wikileaks to its abrupt end after a series of controversial and history changing info leaks.

Starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan and based on the investigative book by BBC correspondent Martin Sixsmith, this story focuses on the efforts of Philomena Lee, mother to a boy conceived out of wedlock and given away for adoption in the United States. In following church doctrine, she was forced to sign a contract that wouldn’t allow for any sort of inquiry into the son’s whereabouts. After starting a family years later in England and moving on with her life, Lee meets Sixsmith, a BBC reporter with whom she decides to discover her long-lost son.

Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Aladdin’s whole life changes with one rub of a magic lamp as a fun-loving, shape-shifting Genie appears and grants him three wishes, setting him on an incredible journey of discovery.

Captain Phillips stars two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks in the true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. Focusing on the relationship between Phillips and the Somali pirate captain who takes him hostage, the two men set on an unstoppable collision as they find themselves at the mercy of forces beyond their control.

Rush portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world ever witnessed during the glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing. English playboy, Hunt and his methodical opponent, Lauda push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance in their lives on and off the track.

Filth

Scheming Bruce Robertson, a bigoted and corrupt policeman, is in line for a promotion and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
