Em decorrência disso, produz ateromas dentro das artérias, facilitando as obstruções parciais ou totais. Para interromper o ciclo, e reverter a perda óssea, o Dr. Vicente desenvolveu duas técnicas, que se auxiliam mutuamente. A primeira é a utilização de laser de alta potência. Por ele, a célula óssea, que está inerte em decorrência da periodontite, é ativada, aumentando a energia fabricada pela mitocôndria, e, com isto, torna a se reproduzir, criando um ambiente mais saudável. Em seguida, través da segunda técnica, é feita uma punção no abdômen do paciente onde são coletadas células adiposas (ou seja, uma célula somática adulta) e reprogramadas geneticamente em células indiferenciadas, como se fossem células-tronco, afastando, assim, qualquer discussão ética sobre sua origem. Aplica–se, então, uma proteína morfogenética, com marcador, possibilitando o rastreamento da célula no corpo, por ser radiopaca. A célula geneticamente reprogramada, uma vez enxertada no osso, se transforma num osteoblasto, responsável pela osteogênese, ou seja, a formação do osso, fechando o ciclo de reprodução e crescimento da massa óssea. O tratamento é feito no Instituto Contatore, que conta com uma equipe multidisciplinar para a recuperação do sorriso e da saúde do paciente. Além de consultórios, o Instituto ainda possuí um centro cirúrgico de alta tecnologia, capaz de realizar cirurgias bucomaxilofaciais complexas. Mas o sucesso não fez o dentista perder suas origens, nem metas. Para auxílio de crianças e pessoas carentes criou a Fundação Contatore, voltada para a área social e a inclusão de menores na sociedade. dinal lasting 15 years, Dr. Vicente had contact with one more consequence of periodontal diseases: a possibility to be one of the causes of brain stroke - CVA. The reason stems from the installed micropockets bacteria that form as a result of bone loss and gum detachment. This bacterium releases an enzyme which, in addition to inhibiting the reproduction of bone marrow cells, once in the bloodstream, is a powerful coagulant. As a result, produces atheroma within arteries, facilitating partial or total obstructions. In order to interrupt the cycle and reverse bone loss, Dr. Vicente developed two techniques to help each other. The first is to use high power laser. According to him, the bone cell, which is inert as a result of periodontitis, is activated by increasing the energy produced by mitochondria and, thus, breeds again, creating a healthier environment. Then, through the second technique, a puncture is made in the abdomen of the patient where fat cells are collected (i.e. an adult somatic cell) and genetically reprogrammed in undifferentiated cells, as if they were stem cells, thus removing any ethical discussion about its origin. Then a bone morphogenetic protein is applied, with marker, enabling the tracking of cell in the body, for being radiopaque. The genetically reprogrammed cell, once engrafted in the bone, becomes an osteoblasts responsible for osteogenesis, or bone formation, closing the cycle of breeding and growth of bone mass. The treatment is done at Instituto Contatore, which has a multidisciplinary team to recover the patient´s smile and health. In addition to offices, the Institute also has a high technology surgical center, capable of performing complex maxillofacial surgery. But success did not make the dentist lose his origins, nor goals. To aid needy children and people he created Contatore Foundation, dedicated to the social area and the inclusion of minors in society. Through all this effort, Dr. Vicente is a man ahead of his time.
