dropped out of high school in London, he hatched an exciting new plan: He would move to the United States. With an opportunity to play soccer at the University of Houston, Singh didn’t hesitate to leave everything familiar behind and cross the Atlantic to continue pursuing his passion –and, as it would turn out, discover new ones.

It was during his last collegiate semester that Singh started leaning into a new interest for luxury cars. His brother back home in England had always loved cars and taught Singh a fair amount about them, but it took landing a position at Audi in San Antonio to really get him intrigued.

After a year at Audi, Singh took his chances and moved to Florida in 2017, hoping to continue his new career in luxury auto sales. He’d set up an interview with Lamborghini of Sarasota but was told he wasn’t exactly the right fit and to try next door at the BMW dealership, which had the same owners. The interview that never happened.

Some people might have been thoroughly deterred in this situation, but Singh thought of it as just a delay in his plans. Not one to sit around and mope, he kept busy working at his cousin’s 7-Eleven convenience store while applying for other positions. After a two-day blip at a luxury car brand he realized wasn’t for him, he landed a sales role with the insurance company Northwestern Mutual. During his two-year tenure, he enjoyed success – but knew his calling was elsewhere. “Coming from an athletic background, I love being on the go, and being stuck behind the desk wasn’t for me,” Singh admits now.

experience playing at a high level back home in England, he got an interview, and, though the position paid less than he wanted, he accepted it after asking if there was room to grow. As luck would have it, the guy who owned the team was Victor Young, a partner at Lamborghini and BMW, where Singh had interviewed just a few years prior.

“There’s zero connection between soccer and cars,” Singh laughs, “but it happened to be that Victor owned both a soccer team and a car business!”

Emilio Torres is now one of his closest friends and mentors, and Young is as well. Singh has thrived with their leadership and became the youngest general manager Lamborghini has had at age 29. While he agrees that success can sometimes involve good luck, he says it’s important to follow your dreams.

One day, at a networking event for Northwestern Mutual, Singh learned that a semi-professional soccer team was in need of a coach. Thanks to his

Offering seven floor plans, the residences at AMARA on Sarasota Bay range from 2,600 up to 3,500 square feet. Each condominium has an expansive outdoor terrace. In addition, there will be seven penthouses.
